We went to Portland for work and this place is in a great location, close to our job and close to restaurants, stores, bars, also everything went smooth from getting the place to leaving the place great communication,I definitely recommend it
I had just one night to spend in the charming St. John’s neighborhood, and this was a perfect one. Quiet, sparkling clean, chic, comfortable, and just a block or two from restaurants and shops. Ticks all the boxes!
My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. Had fun curling up one night with a great movie. The space is beautiful, cozy and a nice location! Highly recommend!
The house is comfortable, well stocked and warmly decorated. My husband & I even worked from home easily. There are great coffee shops & restaurants nearby. I recommend staying here.
This place was in a great spot, and provided all the necessities for a quick getaway! Communication was spot on and I felt looked after while I was in town. THANK YOU SMD!
The communication and check-in process were amazing. The property manager allowed us an early check-in which was so helpful.
The set-up is perfect since it is a big space with a few separate seating areas. Beautiful updated bathroom
Husband and I had a great time Memorial Day weekend at this chic, comfortable and immaculately clean basement apartment! Was nice to have a bedroom, living room and kitchen- we didn’t cook anything but the kitchen has all the supplies to do so if you want- we did use the table to play board games!
This property is a delight -- unless you are very tall! So convenient to our family and all that St. Johns and Portland has to offer, wonderfully designed, decorated and equipped. We particularly liked the king sized bed, the luxury of in-unit laundry, and the abundance of cozy throws.
However . . . The ceilings are quite low throughout the unit, and are even lower in some areas because of the support beams, to the degree that my 6'6" husband would hit his head unless he ducked.
Nonetheless, we highly recommend this property for "normal sized" people.

Acceptable
Check-In was easy with a message from the property.
The place was not clean. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere. Almost haunted house creepy.
The location was next to the Park which was great, but the area was less than desirable with people living out of their cars and homeless within a block of the property. Not recommended for families.
The property had everything advertised with a. Full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living room; however a the patio set was extremely old and weathered so it was unusable.
This property is in the basement of a house which was obviously rented out as different vehicles and group sizes were in and out, but no one bothered us.
Overall, it’s an OK place to stay if you don’t have a family or mind an unclean property.
It was unbearably loud, impossible to sleep. The upstairs neighbors weren’t doing anything unreasonable…just having fun…but the four of us downstairs suffered greatly…even after I went up to ask them to turn off their music.

Inconsiderate Guests
This is the second stay here. The first time we stayed was a very nice and enjoyable experience. However, our most recent experience was very disappointing due to the upstairs guests enjoying a very loud party on a Friday evening. They stopped partying after my husband pounded on the ceiling at 3am. I made several attempts around 11:30pm to find a phone contact to get this issue resolved. I noticed just the email information, so used that to communicate. Afterwards the host compensated us a half-day stay for the inconvenience.Because of this unfortunate experience, we will not be returning to this location.

Meh
The space itself was very nicely renovated;however, found the bathroom had some mildew issues with small black bugs flying around as well as towel hanger broken. Promoted as having ac which it did not only fans. Did give heads up on overhead noise but has not been properly insulated between units and upstairs is rented out as well so little control on noise which was exceptionally loud even for our own kiddos. Directions for door was somewhat confusing. Area was definitely mixed and/or up and coming with a ways to go. Not where I would want to stay with a family.
