The room was fine. A bit small and certainly no frills but clean. The staff was very helpful a quick to get the bedding and kitchen supplies we needed for our stay. I found the bed to be uncomfortable and woke up with a backache but my son and husband were fine with it.

I liked location to highway. Plenty of food options nearby. A/C worked well. Room was clean. I wished there was a mug or plate handy instead of having to go requesting and waiting. The odor to both rooms because of the history of cooking in the room was gross. Even the lobby had a terrible odor which didn’t make a first good impression.

The only issue I had is that there was a huge smell of pot right by the front doors. Overpowering. There was also a strong cigarette smell on the first floor between room 136 and 139. Other than that, I like my room. It feels like an apartment! Tell the manager that the young man who checked me in was very good, checked me in very efficiently and quickly, and was nice.

Room was not stocked with items for the kitchen or shampoo. Both were available at the desk, but desk was not always attended. We had to request linens for the pullout sofa, and they didn't have any extra pillows. Great location and easy to get to the highway/ restaurants, but overall just okay.

Have stayed ESA in many location, most of them are good but this one is very good. Clean and neat with fresh towels and amenities, quiet despite of close to busy streets, responsive staff. One small request is,,,avoid empty reception/front desk particularly general check-in hours. In any event, I could stay very comfortable.

The staff was extremely accommodating to us in a very difficult situation. They made our stay very Stress-Free in a very stressful situation as we were broken down here and are from another country. We can't say enough good about the staff! The hotel is not up to date but it is clean, safe, and very quiet! Would definitely come again and would definitely recommend!

The man who checked us in was courteous. We appreciated the luggage carts. The room was "adequate minus." The floor was very sticky. We had to ask for washcloths, as none were left in our bathroom. It was a place to sleep for a few hours, nothing more. All of our luggage had to be placed on the sofa and counter because of the sticky floors. When we went to check out we couldn't find a person at the desk. I knocked on the laundry room door, and the person doing the laundry took my room entry cards. It was a bit strange. I don't think we'll stay there again.

Our family rented 4 rooms and stayed over a long weekend for a funeral. The staff was amazing and did everything to accomodate us including a dog. They were personable and caring, timely and helpful! The Assistant Manager Stephanie remembered calls, got extra blankets and worked her best to place rooms convenient to one another. Daisha general manager and another found schedule allowed for late noon checkout (not always available, but went beyond to do). Top stars for cleanliness. Building is a bit dated, but the heat was tops for room and shower in the 5 degree snowy weather. Walkways were ssfe and well salted. Hotel is next to Cracker Barrel and diner that took large parties and walkable shopping including Walmart. 25 Merritt is the Extended Stay America to stay at (not 55 down the road!).

Bang for your buck, but ZERO Customer Service!

Late check in, night attendant was rude. The front door is locked at night, need to key to get in (good thing) but I pick up the phone which rings and rings, and a woman walks up and holds the door open, saying nothing... I walk in and go up to the counter the woman is walking away but stops and says "what do you want".? I tell her I want to check in than she goes behind the counter and bluntly asks for my ID, no greeting, no welcome, nothing. As she is silently checking me in I notice a sign about getting a dishware kit for the kitchen. When I ask her about it she just yells at me that she's really busy and I will have to wait till she gets to it! The customer service never really improved at the front desk. It's the housekeeping that is courteous, polite and treats you like a guest, unlike the persons at the counter who should be the example of service. And the signs everywhere about cleanliness.. that is a joke! Place is dirty, filthy and SMELLS! Bring your cleaning supplies, you will want to wipe the grime away before you touch anything!
