We loved our stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The amenities were wonderful, but mostly, this is a gorgeous property! For such an historic property, it is so comfortable and beautiful! We wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved almost everything about Abbey. I wish their signage for Registration were a bit better and that they had a late supper option -- a bar menu, for example. These were the only two snags in an otherwise lovely stay at a former Abbey turned hotel w/spa (which we didn't have time to take advantage of).

Pure luxury and decadence is how I would describe the Abbey. The hotel is located on a hill with a gorgeous view of the Hudson. They have afternoon cookies and coffee to relax and enjoy the sunset over the Hudson. The bed is very, very comfortable in each room has its own thermostat. The staff is very helpful and available at a moments notice. You will not regret your stay at this place.

We were blown away with the property. The building is exquisite, and the rooms are as comfortable as any luxury hotel we’ve stayed at. The bathroom was meticulously cleaned. Betting and linens were top-notch. Staff was super friendly. Apropos, the restaurant on site, is a really great option for breakfast or dinner. The courtyard is a great little oasis of peacefulness. It is a pricey place, but very luxurious and we really enjoyed our stay.

There were no outlets in the bathroom making it difficult to use appliances in there. There was a steamer but no iron. Perhaps someone could ask for these things but for the amount we paid per night, it was disappointing.

The rooms, bar, and dining were top shelf. The actual building is truly lovely. Had a wonderful ambiance. Staff very polite and helpful without making you feel awkward. The restaurant was truly 5 stars. We ate 4 meals and as good as the dinners were (and they were) we fell in love with the breakfast offerings. The only slight stumble is the location of the pool. It is a walk down the hill and over to a shared location with a very lovely series of townhomes. Very nice pool but no amenities or service. I only point this out because we visited during a hot stretch over July. Location of the hotel is very accessible to some great places nearby or within a short drive such as Dia Beacon, Cold Spring, Hyde Park, and the Culinary Institute. An absolutely charming inn and we will definitely head back.
