“The staff were really friendly when we arrived and the rooms were large, and beds comfortable enough. However, the sink was leaking in the room, which had a towel placed under it, so I sense the staff were aware of the leak. Despite us staying in October time, it was quite noisy within the hotel and it woke us multiple times in the night. You could hear chairs being scraped across tiles and other rooms using their toilets. Therefore I don’t think the rooms are greatly soundproofed. In spite of……

“This was our PERFECT Salerno “launch pad” for the Amalfi Coast vacation. The train from Naples took us to the historic Salerno rail center and even with two rollable bags, the walk to The Holiday Guesthouse was an easy and mostly flat 12-minutes. “Fantastic place to visit Amalfi coast. Away from the tourists Cava de' Tirreni is a real Italian town. The hotel is an old palace, our room was superb with all amenities and our host Dario went out of his way to help. One warning, a car can be expensive to park. But the train connections are very good.”

“Arriving wasnt a good experience. The host was not ready for us. The info to the apartment was sent after we have arrived trying to figure out how to get in. We arrived in a ran storm which doesnt help. Our room was cold, no information of any kind on our to work coffee machine , where to get anything, where the wifi is. We have to figure things out ourselves. When i message the host , i didnt get respond till the next day . The room was large though with balcony. Our room was not clean……
