Nice resort with sea views and easy access to the beach. Rooms are clean and large with balconies and filtered water. Staff were friendly and helpful. The massages at the on site spa were good value and very good. Only negative was the restaurant which felt like an afterthought; and the breakfast buffet was decidedly uninspiring.

Don’t expect windflower quality
So we booked this place going by the experience we had at Coorg, but it’s a really sorry state of affairs here in Puducherry. DO NOT EXPECT QUALITY. Quality of service, quality of food, quality of staff all are at worst. We stayed for 3 nights, 2nd day morning itself I complained and suddenly the room was cleaner and filled with amenities which were missing at checkin. They don’t even give bottled water in room. Property is nicely built and very badly managed. Spa wasn’t worth peeping inside. Indoor games area - everything was in torn shape. Restaurant - food options, quality and service all were bad. Staff doesn’t even know how to manage customers. Room service - goodness. We ordered pasta and garlic bread, pasta came in without bread, plates, cutlery. When asked for the same first cutlery came, then after another call comes plates to eat. Another time we asked for two drinks, both came in different sizes glass. Really bad experience even after constantly letting them know. Be careful, avoid if possible Only good thing is - built of the resort and location. I think owners should take a note and change the operation team.

One of the worst and shocking experiences at windflower pondicherry. Instances stated below: 1. Provided room number 40 that had bathroom drain blockage smell and shifted to room number 20 the next day.. in this process we wasted 1 day staying in 40 because no other room was available. We wasted about 2 hours in shifting from 1 room to another 2. Extremely poor service 3. No coutesy offered to the guest. I am carrying my 1 year old baby and i am informed that ill be charged extra for room service 4. Phone not working properly 5. Any orders through phone it will take a minimum 2 hours to reach after multiple followup calls 6. Ordered mineral water and took 2 hours to deliver 7. Extremely careless staffs and poor maintenance 8. Stained towels offered at the swimming pool 9. Room service staffs walking inside the room with slippers and room full of shoe marks 10. Shoe marks on furniture inside the rooms 11. Rooms stinking and extremely dirty low maintenance 12. Dinner plates fallen outside roomz and not cleared for 24 hours. Extremely unhygienic with cockroaches on it. 13. Trying to call manager multiple times but he is not responding

A Paradise in Pondicherry
The rooms were veery spacious. Lush green gardens and direct access to the backwater made the surroundings veery serene and peaceful. The highlight was the outdoor shower that added to the beauty of the setup

Stay at Windflower , Pondicherry
The place is in a way out location. It is a nice resort but needs upkeep and maintenance. As I checked in , I observed the receptionist was very unwelcoming . The room had the following problems some of which were resolved ; 1. The entrance door lock was defective. 2. The cabinet below the tea maker was broken. 3. The table lamp was not working . 4. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was very very noisy , like a helicopter . 5. The glass French door lock was broken and needed repair . Overall , the place is great but the staff at reception very complacent and not bothered . The housekeeping staff was very very effecient . In case of any emergency the resort has no conveyance to take you to hospital. You are at the mercy of local tour operators who really fleece you . The food quality was average . We booked the suite room based on the picture in hotel.com We were given one large spacious room but it did not have another room or a private pool as depicted in the picture by hotel.com The suites have only one room but the villas have more rooms and private pool so I am not too sure if the hotel gave us an inferior room

Very good resort, well maintained. Staff were very helpful. They have a very good Spa. Swimming pool good. Only negative was the path leading to the beach which was littered and dirty.

Hotel is in need of some renovation. There seems to be a lot of cost cutting going on in the way of room maintenance as well as various amenities throughout. There were dingy towels in the bathrooms, no water in reflecting pools, and so on.

Backwater treat
Had a very pleasant stay at the Windflower due to the attentiveness of the staff and the clean and quiet surroundings. Located on the outskirts of Pondicherry the hotel is a pleasant retreat from honking horns and rigours of the day. Room was nice and big with an outside terrace with comfortable furniture plus an additional outside shower off the bathroom. Food is either buffet or a la carte - we had both with no ill effects due to the cleanliness and attentiveness of the Head Chef and Head Waiter. If we have the opportunity to visit the region again, we will certainly drop in on the Windflower.

The location and the view was very nice,but the cleanliness of the room,restaurant and garden furniture could be improved.You can't even sit nicely in the restaurant for breakfast because the furniture is dirty.Garden furniture is full of birdpoo ,so you can't sit on it,it's just a matter of cleaning,it could be solved in half an hour.Breakfast is very indian,they should add a choice for tourists.

Fantastic Location
The resort is next to beach is the first thing I want to tell. The room is well provided and the balcony next to each room with open view is a very good add-on! The service is good and everyone is courteous. The pool is in such a place that at least till 11 in the morning, there will be no sun on you, good times

Great Resort
Wonderful place. A bit off the Cuddalore main road. Also the resort is about 8-10kms away from central Pondy. Therefore, is recommended that a personal vehicle is available with you. Resort itself has great amenities, great food and more importantly beach connected with the resort was hardly populated giving the impression that this is a private beach.
