If you find yourself on the Greek island of Santorini and want to escape the crowds of tourists, I would highly recommend you try the small village of Pyrgos.
It is actually not that small, and if, like me, you stop at every corner to get a photo, you will spend a good half day there. So many opportunities in the narrow streets, with white walls and houses, coloured features everywhere, a couple of churches and historical buildings, and an amazing view all the way to the Asean sea.
