The area didn't necessarily feel the safest at night but the hostel itself was pretty clean and nice. The rooftop has a really good view of the Acropolis, it's beautiful at night! I booked an individual room, however felt like the sound-proofing was bad so was disrupted by late night hallway things.”

“Retro Athens Hotel was a small boutique hotel with 16 rooms. Hotel was very modern. Shower area was large and separate from toilet. Bed was comfortable. There was a small balcony that overlooked the streets below. Breakfast had a small but tasty selection. There was always cucumber water, coffee, tea and cookies available in the lobby all day. The staff was welcoming, pleasant and helpful. There was a metal gate on the door that was locked for safety. You used your room key for entry. We had a……

“The hotel is in the heart of Athens while tucked away at the end on a small street. There are no short of eateries and bars around this very vibrant neighborhood. All main sites are within walking distance or 1 subway station away. Breakfast is served from across the street which was absolutely amazing. Reception staff is absolutely lovely and helpful. Overall a great stay! ”
