The Royal Victoria Hotel

"The hotel has good facilities which we fully used including the bar, restaurant, parking and nice gardens to walk around, the staff were all really helpful and polite. The room was a bit dated and could have done with some new furnishings but was clean and as we requested, made up daily by the housekeeping team. The location of the hotel is excellent, just a short walk to Llanberis path, Snowdon Railway and town centre."

"We were surprised to find that guests have to pay an additional fee for parking. The building is quite old, so the ventilation wasn’t great and the room felt quite stuffy. Even though it was already the end of August, the room still felt quite warm and poorly ventilated. At night, there was also quite a lot of noise coming from the hotel kitchen downstairs, which was quite disturbing. Apart from these points, the staff were all very nice and friendly."

"Lovely little studio cottage, very comfortable and ideally placed for local amenities. Good size kitchen and bathroom and plenty of room in the bed / sitting room. Also plenty of parking. A lovely stream runs under the bridge, well worth a stay 👍👍Kerry is very welcoming and knowledgable about local places to visit. And the fresh eggs were 👍👍 thank you xx"

"Great location - secluded but genuinely easily walkable into the village. Really enjoyed our time here. The drive up the lane from the village is a bit entertaining (steep and narrow) but much easier after the first run!"

"Great base for walking the Llanberis path up Snowden. The hosts were extremely welcoming, warm, and knowledgable about the local area. A selection of teas and coffee are available in the lounge area which felt much needed after the climb! Room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend :)"

"Close to centre of Llanberis. Cleanliness of bathroom poor and yard a real mess. Bed small and very soft. Sofa good. Nice kitchen but short on basic equipment."

"Peacefully located and comfortable, clean annexe with superb views over Llanberis and surrounding Snowdonia mountains and a welcoming and friendly owner. I especially enjoyed the local walk from the property through Padarn country park to Dolbadarn castle and back through the fascinating mining history remains; plus the walk out at Newborough sands on Anglesey and the owner's superb homemade Bara Brith on arrival! "
