My wife and I were pleased with the location, as it was within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The view was...AMAZING! The unit was clean, equipped, and well-maintained. I’d recommend Manor Park Lodge as an excellent place to stay in Queenstown.
Check-in was a little bizarre. Cell phone at entry you called for instructions, but worked out fine. We were on first floor, and luckily the farther unit from main entrance, there would be no privacy if in the first unit. Upper floor would definitely be nicer. However, the view is spectacular and the condition and comfort was great. A little walk to town center but doable (as we did both days).

Not What We Expected
We really wanted to like this stay but it was kind of disappointing. The one big positive was the view. Although it was just the two of us, we booked the 2-bedroom studio and were glad we did for the added space. A one-bedroom would have been cramped and uncomfortable. Here are our disappointments: their vacuum must be broken because the carpet had visible hair and specks of stuff; there is only one mirror which is in the bathroom so if both bedrooms were occupied it would be difficult; the rooms were stark white but not in a fresh clean way - kind of eerie; no dresser space; no heat/AC; tiny refrig with hot water pot and teas and coffees on top.
We like walking so the 1-mile walk into town would not have bothered us if it hadn't been for the step and long ascents and descents along the way. After a couple of trips/day it got old. Next time we would stay in town, especially considering this place was price at a point where we could have had a nice place in town. We took this because of the extra space with the two bedrooms but we would have been happier with a large hotel room in town.
This is a converted house in a residential area which is for sale. There are six units. There is no onsite manager. Check-in is via a phone at the front door. Someone from the housekeeping staff let us in. There is a phone by the front entrance to call the manager but no one answered when we called to ask a question. You're pretty much on your own here.
Amazing view. Lovely apartment but self catering facilities were quite poor as there was no kitchen sink or washing up bowl to make using the bathroom basin more hygienic.
It has magnificent lake view as said. Good wifi. However, my friends and I didn't like the Jack and Jill style, which was a toilet between our room. I would rather to have our own bathroom, it was so inconvenient. There are board games on the top floor as well as the disappointed not working electric Ma-Jong table. Rooms are small with a buzzing bees noise fridge next to your bed. Nice kitchen on top floor but locked.
The property was in a great location, close to the action of Queenstown, and an easy and quick trip to Frankton airport for our return flight back to Australia.
Views from the property are spectacular, there’s building work going on at the moment next door so they arrive at 8am each day & skips being delivered, some noise & you have to keep the blind closed or else they can see straight in, but it should be finished soon.
The views were amazing. Communal balcony was directly outside our room so it was very loud when we were trying to sleep. The property is brand new and not quite ready for guests I don’t think..
Bathroom was terrible as nowhere to put anything.
We were told the family room only accommodates 4 people when we had actually booked for 5. We had paid for 5 and had to prove it as we were asked to pay again.

We booked Manor Park Lodge for 3 nights during summer. Be aware that there is NO airconditioning in the property. The room was extremely stuffy, and the only ventilation was a set of tiny slit windows above the main windows in the room. Add to that that the only way to get any airflow is to have the blinds completely raised, so the whole street can see you as you wake up in bed. As it was our honeymoon, we told the manager that we'd be leaving after the first night, and if we could get a refund for the remaining two nights. We were told to contact the owner, and after an email, phone call/voicemail message and text message we were simply ignored. I had to contact Wotif to arrange a refund, which they did as the website listed climate control air conditioning as part of the ammenities. There are so many other great places to stay in QT, especially at the price this place has the audacity to charge.
The lake view is one of the best I’ve seen, very very clean hotel and comfy large bed, bathroom bedroom and kitchen were all impeccable and decor was very tasteful. I arrived after check in hours and so received a text telling me all I needed to know. Very quite hotel, hope to return soon.
Stayed for 2 nts... fantastic view and modern decor that was very clean and comfortable. Car parking is on street opposite room but is not a problem. Bit far to walk to town but a short drive. Recommend this hotel for couples or family.
Absolutely loved my stay here. The view of the lake was spectacular, the bed was HUGE and so comfortable and the shower was amazing.
The Manor Lodge is about a 25 minute walk from town, which I was more than fine with since it was much quieter and let me have such a great view of the lake.
