Quesada Hotel with Pool

"We loved staying at Chachagua and would highly recommend it to anyone considering. The property is sprawling, with so much available onsite to enjoy. We took advantage of the coffee and chocolate tour, the cooking class, and the night tour on property. All were excellent. Additionally, Chachagua’s location is perfect for seeing Costa Rican wildlife. In less than 48 hours, we saw nearly everything we had only hoped we would see. The staff are friendly, the onsite guides are amazingly knowledgeable, and the quality of the hot springs are really nice. We also booked tours through the hotel that were in La Fortuna, ~30 minute drive. Those were also well coordinated and well communicated. We can’t say enough good things about our stay! "

"We stayed on the second floor and had a nice balcony with a view of the volcano which was beautiful. The room had a few inconveniences - there was no countertop by the sink for toiletries and the Wi-Fi was very poor. Also, be ready for an early wake-up as the birds start chirping around 5 a.m. and it’s a full-on orchestra. Overall, it was a nice place."

"Great place in the heart of LaFortuna. This is my 4th trip to the area, 1st time saying at Secreto. No need to pay the overpriced hotel rates outside of town. Buy a day pass to the hot springs if needed but stay at Secreto. You feel like you're in the country but can walk to anything downtown. They had 3 sloths on the property, saw a Toucan and lots of other birds at their beautiful garden. No need for an expensive tour. They were close to the ground and you could see them anytime you wanted without binoculars. It was great! If you are looking to maximize your Costa Rica experience save the $ book here. Get the feel for an amazing town. "

"Breakfast was fantastic every morning. Great variety to suit everyone. The entire property was spotless, including the room!! Everything is very well maintained. Majority of staff were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. Drinks at the bar were lovely and happy hour every evening was a nice surprise, although the menu is much smaller. "

"Paradise was a totally unique resort and experience. We loved the hot springs with varying temperatures. Amenities at the resort were great including the coffee bar swim up bar and breakfast buffet. The staff was so friendly and helpful."

"Beautiful property with lush gardens & the best thermal pools we found in all of La Fortuna. For the price, you get a lot. The pools are exceptional. The location is perfect, just outside of town, but not too far. You can easily take a taxi to the center of town for under $10 dollars. The room are spacious & clean. The breakfast was varied & delicious. Food in Pyramides restaurant is inedible; please skip. Hotel is very stingy with towels. We were 3 people & only received 1 hand & face towel for all 3 of us to share. Rooms have a lot of frosted glass with no blackout shades so expect the sun to wake you up at 6 AM. Take ear plugs & eye mask if you want to sleep in because the chirping birds & light coming in will definitely wake you up early. It is a long walk form the lobby to the rooms, but there are golf carts to take you if needed. I recommend moving in taxis instead of Uber because Ubers are not regulated or inspected for safety. The hotel called an Uber for us that had broken seatbelts & door had to be opened from the outside. We noticed every time we asked for a taxi, staff tried to push for Uber because they have relatives they call to take you. Taxis felt safe & vehicles were better. Overall, pleased with our stay. Definitely recommend this property if you are seeking excellent thermal pools. "
