“On arrival reception was efficient but not overly friendly. We had a pleasant room overlooking the well kept golf course. Cleanliness in the room was good but a little extra attention in the bathroom needed; dirt around plughole, shower hinges and darkened grout around the bath. Food and service was very good. We had been advised the day before that due to a technical fault the swimming pool was closed, but were given a bottle of wine and free access to the thermal spa which was very generous.……

“Simple basic hotel, good value for money! Rooms are tiny and the windows do not open so very stuffy, there was air con but it didn’t work. Bed was comfy, nice pillows. Toilet is behind a glass door next to the bed so a bit awkward in terms of privacy or needing the loo with someone else in the room, it’s just a swinging glass door with no seals and you can see through even though it’s partly frosted. Staff nice and friendly. Lights weren’t working in the room but that was fixed in minutes by……

It does need a little investment, the furniture and furnishings are tired. Breakfast was good if limited in choice. All the team were pleasant. If you're looking for a comfortable, unflashy stay this hotel perfect.”

“What a wonderful place to stay! The lodge we stayed in was perfectly suited to us. Loved the veranda and the table and chairs so we could sit outside in the evening with a view across the lawn and to the trees. Breakfast was a feast - only disappointment was that we were only there for one night. We plan to return and stay for longer next time. ”
