Centre of Town, 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6, own parking and patio close to The Oracle
This modern house has a fresh and clean 'feel' to it having been re-painted in June 2025 and has brand new carpets as of June 2025. Also refurbished to a high standard in the last couple of years, with a brand new fitted kitchen, new bathroom. This lovely modern 3 bedroom house is in a quiet private street but is also only 1 minute walk to Reading’s premier shopping destination, The Oracle which hosts 90 shops, combining chic boutiques with major department stores like Debenhams and House of Fraser. With a 10 screen Vue cinema and a wide range of eateries, there’s plenty to do besides shopping too.
This location is also excellent for business and conferences being minutes from Thames Valley Business Park, Green Park and also Reading Stadium.
It is in a quiet street with little traffic or passers by.
Free private off street parking in front of the house and a visitor additional use permit (free parking in the centre of Reading is rare!)
The property now has a brand new Samsung Crystal 50” 4K television with apps, logged into:- Apple, Disney, Amazon films and TV accounts suitable for adults and children, so perfect for those rainy nights in. The lounge has 2 x sofas and beanbag so plenty of room to ‘chill out’.
There is an outdoor private patio with table and chairs, perfect for spring and summer evening drinks or dining Alfresco!
It's only a 10 minute stroll to the major Reading railway station which connect visitors to London in 25 minutes (Reading to London Paddington). It's also really quick drive to M4, M25, M3, M40, A4, A329M, Winnersh Triangle etc.
There is so much to love about Reading and so much to do from Shopping to Festivals, Jazz clubs, the Reading Hexagon, Reading University and the River Thames to name a few.
NEW Child Stair-gate, brand new travel cot provided, Lego and some toys and childs bed in third bedroom
This house can now sleep up to 5 adults and a travel cot and now a brand new futon downstairs in the lounge as well which pulls out into a double bed, plus a good quality fold out single bed.
We will endeavour to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

Could easily be 10/10 but needs a little attention.
Good: Comfy beds, generally well equipped, handy for reading station, 25 minute trains to london. Wifi / TV accounts all worked fine. Bad: Paintwork and carpets looking quite tired in places. Missing curtain in master bedroom? We had to hang the towels up! Numerous blown light bulbs etc. Ugly: Shower curtain was disgusting. House stank of cooking smells from previous guests. Not really the hosts fault but there didn't seem to have been much effort to air it or neutralise it. Could be a great house with a little TLC.

A delightful home!
Perfectly clean and well-appointed home near the Oracle. Easy walking to all parts of Reading including the train station. The home is bright and extremely comfortable. Tessa and Charles are perfect hosts - very responsive and easy to communicate with. We will be back!

Great week in Reading

Brilliant
Words cannot emphasize just how perfect this place is for a family of five who want quick and easy access to the sights of southern Britain.
Just 12 minutes walk to the train station it was easy to get to and from London and Bath for our day trips.
The home was clean, warm and cozy. The power strip for foreign plugs and toys for kids in the closet show the extra touches the place has for a traveling family.
Driveway parking was great, Tessa was very quick in responding to all questions and queries we had.
We will stay there again if in the area.
Probably one of the best VRBO experiences we’ve had.

Great location!
House is in a great location! Property was clean and had everything we needed! We were able to walk to shops, the train and bus station within a few minutes. It was perfect for us to visit with family while allowing the teens to get some shopping in. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!

Exceptional location, well appointed, responsive host
This lovely property has 3 bedrooms upstairs. along with a full bath, Downstairs is a large kitchen with breakfast bar, combined living/dining room, and a half bath. There is a cute courtyard in the year that we enjoyed spending time in every evening. The location is superb with easy access to the Oracle upscale mall as well as the pedestrian only outside shopping area that had many entertainers. The unit was very clean, tastefully decorated and had everything needed from kitchen utensils to power adapters. The host, Tessa answered any and all questions in a very timely fashion. As we now have family in the area we will try to rent this property on subsequent visits.

Romantic and authentic English house
This is a wonderful English house with a lovely back garden. We had good communication with the hosts. They even helped us by providing faster internet that we needed to do our work. The house is just like the pictures, and it's a great place to stay. Perfect location if you want to live in the centre of Reading. It is also fairly close to the Themes and a large playground, we went there quite some times with our 2-year old son. The house is well equipped for children and has toys, a baby chair, and a safety gate. It's also a travel bed for children in the house, but if you have a longer stay as we did (we lived there for two months) I would recommend buying your own bed for your infant. We will definitely stay in this house again if the whole family return to Reading. And if you want the "English feeling" with the romantic houses and small back yards, this is perfect!

Nice location, cold water
This is a nice place for an affordable price with a great location. However, there is a "neSt" thermostat that turns off the hot water and heat for much of the time. We were catching excursions and air planes and were up early, forced to take freezing cold showers. Even those that tried to shower the night before had cold showers. Mildly annoying was the fact that the owner sent an email stating there would be cereal, milk and orange juice and in fact there was none.

Comfortable house, homely and very central,
Stayed last week with my husband and four kids. It was perfect for our holiday and a great base. A couple of minutes stroll from the Oracle shopping center and lots of restaurants close by. Also the lovely touch of having tea/coffee milk, cereal and lots more provided by our host. I would highly recommend this house

Great house and great location. It was so easy to settle in and make it home away from home.
Tidy, neat, welcome pack and just set up to be ready to settle in straight away. You can enjoy all reading has to offer, restaurants close by and lots of choice as well. The rooms are all clean and well maintained. Everything is easy to use and it’s a lovely quiet street considering how close it is to the oracle! Tessa and Charles were amazing, answering any queries we had and replying straight away to help settle us even faster! This really was a great pick for our two week visit with a toddler. Thanks Tessa and Charles!
