Beautiful House but Disappointing

The house was big and beautiful. Unfortunately, it needs some cleaning and repairs. The inside of the refrigerator was dirty. We found someone's hairbrush and a used soap in a bathroom. The screened in porch had some dried food on the floor. The first night I slept in a bed that turned out to be coming apart. The slats from the frame were loose so it shifted during the night. There were cracked panels of plexiglass on screened porch that had come away from screen. Other aspects were disappointing. Although it was not stated in description, we assumed there would be at least enough toilet paper in each bathroom until we could get to a store. The bedrooms had the folded bedding on top of mattresses for us to assemble. We had traveled over 8 hours to get to our destination. There were 2 hangers in the entire house. Again, it didn't state that there would be hangers but it was disappointing. When I notified the owner of several issues, he was defensive. With a thorough cleaning, minor repairs and some welcoming touches this could become an excellent choice.

Nick was great. The location of the property was perfect. The house offered us plenty of room which is important for a large group. The beach chairs were great to have for use. This is a no frills Beach house which was perfect for us. If however you are looking for “upgrades” this is not the place for you. The only downfall was that the house could have been cleaned better prior to our arrival. There was quite a bit of someone else’s hair in the master bathroom, stains and spills on the inside and outside of cupboards and a closet door that has fallen off the hinges.

Overall great rental property. Prime location for bethany beach that's not on the water but super close to everything. large spacious house that's very kid friendly. Had an actual crib to use, locked cabinets, and plug covers. Owner was nice and quick to reply. Close to many shops and restaurants. Only complaint is that the beds were very cheap looking and feeling and there were some minor things like the main level bathroom door didn't close effectively and no light in the master bathroom toilet area but those are easy fixes! Overall a great property and would rent again

Excellent family getaway

The house was perfect for our family getaway. Very kid-friendly for families with young children. Host was very responsive. Everything as pictured/described.
