"This was an absolutely wonderful resort and from beginning to end our experience was amazing! The room, the view, the pools, the beach, just everything was gorgeous. There’s 4 restaurants that are reservation only, there’s a buffet, and two pool bars. The food on the menu, or at least what we tried, were not bad at all. The selection at the buffet was pretty wide. One of pool bars played music and had activities for guests like water aerobics, dance lessons, and sports/games. There’s also 5 other resorts on this property under Barcelo and they offer shuttle service every 20mins if you want to visit them. We were told that if you book with the Maya Riviera Adults Only we can access all the amenities at the other resorts. We went to the Maya Palace and it was really nice there too. On the way there, we went to the mall and casino. Lastly, we want to commend the staff for their excellent service. Everyone was kind, ready to help with a smile, just beautiful people. 10 out 10 experience, highly recommended! Thank you!"

"We had a wonderful stay! The tropical atmosphere was beautiful, and the rooms were always clean and comfortable. The beach had soft, sandy shores, although there was quite a bit of sargassum during our visit. That's simply Mother Nature, and we were impressed by how diligently the resort staff worked every day to keep the beach as clean and enjoyable as possible. The pool was great but I wished it had a little bridge I could hide under. Lol! The food and drinks were very good, and the nightly entertainment was fantastic, making every evening enjoyable. A special thank you to Victor at Reception for his warm welcome and outstanding service. We'd also like to recognize Rosario & Alondra at Bloved, as well as Angeles & Fernando at the buffet. Angeles has an incredible ability to remember guests' names—it truly makes you feel like part of the family. Fernando always looked out for me by making sure my pineapple allergy was taken into account, which I greatly appreciated. We certainly can't forget Martina, serving drinks at the Bloved beach area, she is truly one of a kind and absolutely priceless. Their kindness, professionalism and genuine hospitality made our vacation even more memorable. The resort truly honors the benefits offered to Expedia VIP members, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend booking a Privileged room. The added perks (Bloved, room service, turndown service, spa and 2person catamaran) are well worth it. We look forward to returning!"
