“As always the cabin was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Secluded and the only noise heard was the song birds. The hot tub was perfect and the fire pit was great when it was too rainy for the hot tub. See you again in the fall.”

“Could not be any happier…Hensley Hollow Lodge was fantastic!!! We were so pleasantly surprised at how a home that can accommodate/slerp 22 was truly spacious enough to be together without being on top of each other and the views were spectacular! Beds (& pillows) were very comfortable. Easy drive (10-12 minutes) to a grocery. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need (2 coffee pots and even 2 crock pots!). Having a second full fridge on the lower level for beverages or food overflow……

“Great location in Orange County Va farm land very close to many attractions and with in reach to Charlottesville for a day trip via country road route 20 ( no traffic lights). The cottage is an outbuilding on the Bloomingdale Farm property that is surround by working farms. The view from the porch is peaceful and relaxing with the Blue Ridge off in the distance. The cottage is rustic with old wide plank pine floors that creek with every step. The first floor sitting room has a large working wood……

“Easy check in and check out process. If you like the country and mountains this is the place. Conveniently located down the street from the gas station a small store/ restaurant and not a far drive from the Shenandoah National Park. The reason we chose this place is because it is dog friendly and near the Shenandoah mountains. We visited the mountains for some day hikes. The house is nicely kept and spacious with a big yard.”

“We were visiting a client in rural Virginia and a hotel just didn’t make sense. The location as perfect and beautiful. We were so comfortable in the house and it was the best place to decompress after long days!”

“Secluded location though a short drive to Shenandoah Natl Park. Fronts on a creek with relaxing sounds of moving water. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great; the furniture downstairs could use an upgrade. Large kitchen area with everything we needed. A nice place to escape for a few days.”

“Plenty of space, accurate listing. Be sure to read the portion around 3 of the bedrooms with breezeway entry if you have small kids. Great views and easy communication! When we stayed there was construction on both sides (the only downfall of trip)- otherwise, fantastic spot, great fishing and would return!”

“We had 4 couples (and 8 kids) come together in this house. The house is super spacious and has tons of beds. The kids LOVED the movie room. The house is very pretty, easy to get to, and has access to insta-cart and restaurants close by (I say this only because there are parts of Lake Anna that have nothing close by). The kitchen is a great space to hang out with lots of counter space and seats. The only reason I didn't give the house 5 stars is that the house is almost brand new and has several……

“Abbey's place worked well for our graduation stay. It is an older property with beautiful solid wood furniture and a comfy feel in a quiet neighborhood about 1.5 miles from UVA. All the amenities are as noted in the listing. The beds were comfortable (not too soft) and the kitchen had everything we needed. Abbey's instructions were clear and she was very responsive when I had trouble logging onto the wifi. There is room to park 2 cars off the street to the left of the house, and with a car UVA……

“Everything was great. Only we were not left any dishwasher detergent. I did call the number you gave me. It only got a voice mail so we hand washed most dishes but had to leave early this AM and left a few cups, etc in dishwasher.”

“House was comfortable for everyone! Very clean with nice linens and towels. Kitchen had all that we needed. Great location with several good restaurants and shops near by. We were there for UVA graduation so it was a bit out of the way, but the drive back and forth was so lovely with all the farms to look at. Hosts were so easy to communicate with too. There are two flights of stairs with all bedrooms upstairs. I Would stay there again any time in Orange!”

“My husband and I brought our newborn for his first trip away from home, and we picked the perfect home for it! It was very clean and quiet, and it was helpful to have access to a laundry machine. We were close by to Shenandoah and went on a few hikes and tried some great restaurants in the area. We look forward to coming back soon!”
