“Fools gold. You may pull up and think, hmmm. But open the pink door and down the stairs, you find a little sanctuary. Comfortable for two and some privacy as well, as the area is sectioned off. Everything you need for a few days and if you need a longer stay, of course. (We love to eat out as well). The bed is comfortable and the towels are soft. You have your basic amenities. We brought our pup, and they even have a pup blanket:) how sweet is that!!! I promise you will enjoy this place.……

“If you’re one concern is being as close to the restaurants, bars, and downtown mall, look no further. If your concerns are property cleanliness and a quiet environment, look elsewhere. The Gatsby is a large and old unit just off the downtown mall on 4th street. The property is feeling its age with rusting windows, a front door that has seen better days, and squeaky bed frames that “could” keep you up at night. Additionally, the restaurant below the unit blares club music until at least……

“Pros Real working farm setting. Very peaceful and serene. Very clean and cool temp wise. Cons Wifi wasnnt working and cell reception poor which made self check in difficult. Had to buy more TP and salt touse in the kitchen. Bathroom sink took forever to drain BUT overall, very minor issues. Would rent again.”

“The property was perfect for our stay for UVA graduation weekend. It is a quick drive to grounds and comfortably fit four people. We had a slight problem upon arrival, where the adjoining rental had gained access to our property through a door left unlocked. The owner was immediately available to resolve, but it was unnerving to find someone in our space. Recommend a deadbolt lockout between the areas for the future, as even when locked, we would have controlled access to their area- which isn't……

“Overall I am pleased with my stay. The location was very close to the airport and convenient to Charlottesville and the Shenandoah National Forest. Space was ample for one person or a couple. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and necessities. Lots of clean towels and linens. It is a basement apartment so it is damp and musty which is to be expected in a basement. The footsteps overhead are quite loud but otherwise it is a quiet location. Stairs outside are a little steep and it is not……
