“The suite was beautiful, clean and well looked after. The reason for the less than ideal rating is that the pictures and description led me to believe the suite was more private than it was. I believed we were booking a secluded and private location, but the suite is actually attached to the main residence. The reason I was willing to spend what we did after taxes and fees was that I believed we’d have more privacy than we would if we booked a hotel in Canmore or Kananaskis. The furnace was……

“He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat. It isn’t. The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating was the worst part of the stay - either one sits on the worn out couch, or the hard dining room table chairs. The interior was filled with flies - they keep landing on our heads and food. The owner’s acknowledged……

The indoor wood burning stove kept us warm in the evening and we just enjoyed every aspect of this lovely place. The beds were a little more firm than we prefer, but the rooms were beautiful.
