Fantastic Stay at Wintergreen Resort

We had a wonderful weekend at this cabin/house in Wintergreen Resort. Our group consisted of three families (six adults and six children), and the house was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped for a group of our size. The setting in the woods provided a peaceful and scenic backdrop, making it a great place to relax.The location was excellent for exploring the area. We took day trips to Charlottesville, visited Veritas Winery and Bold Rock Cidery, and enjoyed the Rockfish Valley Foundation’s Natural History Center, which was a perfect activity for the kids. The house itself had everything we needed, from a well-stocked kitchen to cozy common areas where we could gather.Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and we would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Wintergreen.

Thankful to be together at Thanksgiving

We chose this property, “Adventure Awaits” because it offered a place for some of us in NC to meet up with our family, who were coming South from PA. The home is beautifully decorated. There were 10 of us. I felt like the size of the home fit us perfectly. The things we loved: *The location - close to trails and the Wintergreen lodge *The comfy king beds in three of the bedrooms *The large loft with comfy seating, enough for 8 -10 people *Lots of cozy blankets to curl up in *The extra large fridge to hold all of the food we brought (a ham, turkey, lots of sides, pies and drinks) *The hot tub *Outdoor fireplace *Devil’s Backbone brewery - just down the mountain *The activities at the Wintergreen lodge *The responsiveness of the hosts to all of our questions and concerns *Cozy bunk room for three teen girls *Easy checkout process There were a few hiccups but Holly and Daniel did their best to make things right. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Beautiful house in a great location! Great communication with the host. The bunk room and three king bedrooms was perfect for multiple families! We took advantage of the close hiking trails. The house was very clean with everything you need for a great weekend. I do wish the standard check out was later than 10 - it’s hard to get two families fed and out by then! They do have an options to purchase a later check out though. All in all a fantastic house and we would rent it again!

Fantastic Family Getaway

House was a perfect spot for 5 adults and 3 young children to hang out together. Bedroom separation is great. A king bedroom and bunk room upstairs with its own living area was ideal for family with young kids. House is well-appointed, beds were very comfortable, nice decor and good outdoor space with a level of privacy. Hot tub was a bonus! Home is located near the entrance to Wintergreen making trips into the valley easier (breweries, vineyards..). Note that home backs up to Wintergreen Dr. so there is some traffic (it did not bother us, but might bother someone who is looking for absolute quiet and seclusion). We would definitely book this property again!

The property suited us perfectly. Thought it was four baths but it was 3 1/3. Thought three of four bedrooms were upstairs but two were up and two were down. My bad, but not a problem.

Don’t believe the hype

13 people maybe be able to sleep at this home, but there would be limited places to relax and be with them. The table holds six at best and the downstairs living room would hold five. The Chimenea is nonexistent, it is a fireplace about 4 feet from the house. Very limited seating. We asked the property manager to have someone blow all the leaves, as the entire porch was covered and we ended up vacuuming five times on our vacation trying to treat the house fairly. She said someone would come, but they never did. There are a few other quirks as well, and we listed them to the property manager . At the conclusion of our vacation, we sent her a text with our concerns and issues and have yet to hear back her. If you were literally just using the house to sleep, it’s perfect. Otherwise, find a different place!
