Um 1085, zur Zeit der Klostergründung durch Herzog Welf I wurde bereits eine romanische, dreischiffige Basilika mit Querschiff und Flachdach errichtet. Mitte des 15 Jhd wurde die Kirche durch den Baumeister Hansen erstmals umgebaut. Heute ist die Kirche eine dreischiffige Basilika, mit freistehenden Glockenturm und romanischen Grundriss. Die architektonischen Proportionen sind Gotisch. Im Innenraum verschmelzen die Stilrichtungen des Rokoko, der Gotik und der Romantik. Sie ist eine der schönsten Kirchen Deutschlands und ein Juwel des Allgäuer Pfaffenwinkels Around 1085, the time of the founding of the monastery by Duke Welf I, a Romanesque three-nave basilica was built with transept and flat roof. "Excellent Hotel. Highly recommend. Staff were all wonderful. Rooms were large and modern and the facilities were superb. Beautiful swimming pool and Great Spa and Sauna Area. Towels and Robes provided. Breakfast had lots of variety . There is also a refreshment area where they provide self service Hot or Soft drinks all day with a seating area. 10 minute walk into town, but there are plenty of good resturants and Bars nearby also. Excellent value for money Hotel. It was so relaxing we booked to stay extra nights. Will definatly be back. If Staying in Garmish this is definatly the place to be. ++++ "
