“This was a great overnight Inn. The staff was super nice and helpful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Only down side was we weren't able to use the fire place after a chilly rain, but staff did get us a few more blankets.”

“The Inn was lovely. The room was small, but authentic and fine. The problem is the food service is very spotty. The restaurant has limited hours and days- no breakfast except on weekends. Also if you have a room on a Monday, most of the day and all night there is no one working at all- you are alone! And on Tuesday when we needed to check out, there was no one working. We had to leave the keys in an unlocked room. ”

“Front Desk staff was great, friendly and personable. Room was not as clean as it should have been. The bed and linens were clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. The floors (laminate) were swept, but the dirt lined the bottom of the bed frame. Bathroom needed a wipe down for hair. Main issue was the back stair, where we were directed to access our room. I don't think it had been swept this year. Sand and dirty all over, even on the handrail. This sand was then tracked down the hall and……

“My daughter and I arrived to the property around 1pm and were grateful for an early check in. We were offered three rooms, two in the basement of the house where we checked in (not Melville). The room was dark and musty with dated furniture and a stained rug. I’ve stayed in B&Bs with this place before and knew about the bait and switch. We were only in Newport for a day and a half so we took the hit for the early check in. The real issue I have is with the what I’m going to assume is mold? The……

“If you are looking to stay near Bowman’s Warf this is the perfect place. It’s quaint, quiet and the breakfast is delicious! They were so helpful and friendly and I will be returning! This Inn is in walking distance to the free trolley service and shopping.”
