"Clean room. Twin beds. Shower over the bath that was tricky to switch off as you had to relieve the water pressure by turning the bath taps on in order to switch the shower off! Set off early so was unable to stay for breakfast."

"Lovely very old pub in fabulous location. There is limited parking (3 spaces), but we could park on the road, ( free between 6pm and 9am). Check in was easy. Room was at top up several flights of stairs. Room was compact, with a step up to the bathroom. Fan to help cool room. Normal selection of tea and coffee with usual biscuits. Fresh milk was provided on check in. Compact bathroom with a shower. Sink was too small with a shelf and soap bottle above it , making it difficult to use for washing or shaving. We dined in the bar, no tables available in reception. Steak night on Thursdays. Good value. We didn't have breakfast. Check out was easy."

"We had the most amazing stay at The Mermaid Inn. The staff were very helpful, professional and friendly, the restaurant food for breakfast and dinner was great nad overall, it was a very memorable stay."

"The staff made the place, couldn’t do enough for us! Restaurant was 10/10. Rooms were so lovely, but didn’t have aircon. Having a toddler highlighted the bathroom floor and around the toilet needed a deep clean. Amazing stay though, will be back!"

"Good location with easy parking, Staff were very friendly and helpful. Though cooked breakfast was good, would have appreciated some fruit salad with breakfast rather than a fruit bowl. Beds were comfy and we had a river view (when it was there!)."

"Generally very good, Very tasty evening meal , nice breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Only problem was the en-suite! The shower only produced a trickle of water and the sealer around the bath was dirty and needed to be renewed."
