“The home was perfect for our mini UP getaway. The addition / main bedroom was where my husband and I spent most of our time hanging out. It also smelled fresh and nice like new wood. The rest of the house was quite musty smelling, which is to be expected with an older seasonal cabin, but it should be noted because some folks with allergies may experience a reaction (our kiddo did). Luckily the weather was unseasonably warm so we opened the windows. The porch was also a great place to relax……

“If you don't have herd mentality and trust your instinct, this place you will find an amazing jewel in UP. Not far from beach/water but at very quiet location and property itself, trust the online pics don't do justice to what an amazing interior this has! Thoroughly enjoyed the rustic look, the layout, the interior done tastefully, all the amenities and didn't feel like away from home! We had in the group elderly in their 80s to youngest being 3Y and everyone had fun. Just loved it and will……

“Really liked the place but could use some work. The drain was not attached to the sink so leaked when using sinks right side. ( kitchen sink). Furniture in the living room is very uncomfortable. But we enjoyed our stay very much .”

“Overall we loved our stay at the cabin. Having 6 people in the cabin made the single bathroom tough at times, but we made it work. I wish the water was a little closer as my mother has a hard time walking and couldn’t use the path to the beach, but t was beautiful. The children loved the loft and the kitchen was put to use to make breakfast every morning. Getting re-used to no TV and wi-fi was interesting at times, but we made it work and enjoyed spending time with each other like we did back……

Initially, and prior to making final payment before arrival, had difficulty contacting the property manager, but once communication was established, communication was very good. Upon arrival there were some construction issues, but the property manager made some grateful compensations. Would definitely stay at this VRBO again.”

“It was a perfect central location for us to explore the Pictured Rocks/Lake Superior area ! Aspen house was exceptionally clean, quiet, light and airy and had everything we needed for our brief "mid-trip of the UP" stay, allowing us to recharge and relax. I very much appreciated having a washer and dryer ! Be sure you visit the Grand Marais beach and the working lighthouse in the evening and grab a meal at Lake Superior Brewing Co. ! “This rental was such a beautiful, cozy cottage on such a pretty beach! It was the perfect size for just the two of us and we loved the little wood burning furnace. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! The town nearby is adorable and it was so peaceful and quiet here. We will definitely be back! Susan was wonderful! The check in and check out processes were very easy. She even helped us out of a sticky situation late at night on our last night there! I would highly recommend staying here and checking……

“Was very impressed with how stocked the house was, which made it very homey. My husband and all his siblings with spouses stayed for a few days, as this is the middle for everyone. Was a very nice stay. More room than the pictures look.”

“Very clean, plenty of comfortable seating in living-room. No air-conditioning but fans helped keep it cooler in the house. Great restaurants. Residents very welcoming and helpful. Great vacation! Only issue was communication regarding the reservation we made on 4/24/23. My first time using VRBO. Was not aware the payment for the reservation was handled separately through the rental's management company (Lake Superior Vacation Rentals). That should have been made clearer. “Nice little house...good location east of Pictured Rocks. Really private backyard with woods and fire pit was a nice bonus. But not too far that you feel like your out in the sticks, since Grand Marais is a short drive down the hill. The house has everything we needed. Kitchen is well stocked with all tools. Interestingly the internet didn't work well at all the first night. It wouldn't have been a big deal but we were trying to plan for the next day at Pictured Rocks. But by the next……
