    Twin Peaks Ranch State Park is located apx 2 miles from our home, spans 677 acres of remote, scenic high country. The park provides access to over 2,000 miles of motorized and non-motorized trails, making it a gateway into the expansive backcountry of Lemhi County.

    The home is located 21.5 miles from Salmon, and 37.9 miles from Challis.
    Quiet and Peaceful.
    Enjoy a burger or steak, and beer, at the Dusty Mule (1 mile).

    Two bedrooms. One king-size bed. Full and twin bunk bed in 2nd bedroom.
    Sleeper couch and dual recliner in living room.
    Newly remodeled kitchen.

    Covered back porch overlooking the river.

This was a great vrbo- right on the river. My friends and I planned a rafting trip and paddled right up to the house (after stopping at the Dusty Mule), and then just drove back to the house after finishing the rafting in Salmon. It worked perfectly- an absolutely top tier stay.

we absolutely loved our stay here. Linda was the best hostess and was very kind to us and was very quick to answer our questions about the property. the house was on a great location on the river and loved to be able to walk out the back door to fish. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything that we need. The house was very clean and obviously very loved and well taken care of. We will definitely stay here again.

Overall I have no complaints about my stay! It’s a convenient location for visiting Salmon and hiking Gold Bug. While I didn’t catch any fish the river access was nice! This doesn’t deduct from my rating because I would definitely stay here again but you have to realize it is rural and on the river which means there are quite a few bugs around and occasionally a few that sneak into house.

We had a wonderful stay right on the river. Awesome location and very quiet neighborhood. We had fun in the game room and relaxing on the recliners in the living room. The dogs loved the yard. The house was clean and well stocked with bathroom amenities, cleaning supplies, and cooking utensils/cookware.

Came into town to spend time with our son, perfect area. Hostess was very sweet. Quiet and relaxing close to the restaurant the Dusty mule that has best burgers ever! And very close to gold bug hot springs for an early morning hike. Will definitely book again.

Great location on the river

The location is great if your looking for a quiet river retreat. It is a bit of a drive to town. Goldbug hot springs is worth the hike!

Get Away

Beautiful location and a great place to fish. Five-minute drive to the Goldbug hot springs and 23 minutes to downtown Salmon. A fun house to stay at with plenty of room for 5 people. I will say it could of used a deep clean.

This house is perfect getaway. The house has all new furnishings and appliances. Very quiet and right on the river. Linda was super responsive.

Nice little place

Just stayed a couple nights. A nice view out the back of the Salmon River. The house was well appointed. Managers were friendly,emus at the property. Pointed out where we might see some elk, recommended the local watering hole, which was a good place for a burger. Their place was nice, the rest of the area was a very mixed bag of nice places and run down fish camps.

Fantastic place to stay

We had a great time. The yard and river were great. Goldbug is a great hike and Salmon also has good hiking and is a nice town. House is clean and well taken care of and the hosts are very nice and receptive. My wife did see some cobwebs in some corners so that freaked her out but other than that very clean and a great place to stay.

Linda was very helpful and great to work with. The river was a great backdrop and beautiful scene to have out back. Enjoyed the hike to Goldberg hot springs. Nice stay but it was a little hard to cool the place off at night.

Visiting our son and exploring Idaho

Our son is working in Salmon, Idaho and we rented this Riverfront home to visit him and explore Idaho. It was a great location between sawtooth and salmon. Both were fun spots to visit. Home was very comfortable. The kitchen dining room and living room was a great area for us to spend time together at night. We enjoyed hiking in sawtooth as well as hiking Goldbug and visiting Wilkins Lake. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect Spot

This is a great spot for fishing with friends. We caught fish right out the back door. The yard is mostly fenced so we were able to bring our dog. The Dusty Mule up the street is a great little local bar. Property is excatly what it appears to be online and Linda was very responsive and helpful!

We enjoyed our quiet weekend retreat and would love to return. The home was well stocked with essentials and felt roomy for our family of three. We had an issue figuring out the fireplace/heat the first night but Linda helped us right away. Everything felt clean and tidy. The outdoor space was wonderful for fishing or just grilling and hanging out. The view of the river and mountains is wonderful. The yard is mostly fenced so very dog friendly. The outdoor space was well maintained apart from a previous renter who didn’t pick up their dog poop- I tried to clean it all up. There was a small weed whacked area by the river perfect for fishing. It was fun to catch trout from the backyard!

The property was really nice. The only problem was the King Size bed, it was horrible. The mattress was cheap and hard. The bed frame was cheap too. The legs supporting the mattress were collapsing. My husband slept in that bed, I slept on the fold out couch. Thats my only complaint. I think if your going to have a place for guests to sleep you might want to spend a bit for comfort. Other than that it is a great place to stay. I called VRBO on day 2 and told them about the bed. I have pictures too.
