“The property is quite big & well maintained by staff. Staff were very friendly but many didn’t speak English so relied on translation apps. The buffet served a lot of local foods which was great although would have enjoyed more variety night after night. There was often some type of pool exercise or entertainment in the day and evenings.
The property is 1.5 hours from Samana airport and transportation from the airport is not provided by the hotel. It’s a big resort, great for long evening……

“We had a wonderful stay at Hacienda Cucuyo! The views are absolutely beautiful, especially from the room—waking up to that scenery was unforgettable. The pool is great, and the long private plunge pool from the room was such a special and relaxing touch.
A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy stunning surroundings! 🌿✨”

“My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was beautifully maintained, creating such a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond with their kindness and professionalism, making us feel truly cared for. Breakfast was absolutely amazing—everything was fresh and delicious. And the spa… simply the best! It was the perfect getaway, and we can’t wait to return.”

“Breakfast was poorly prepared. Hard to drink off of bamboo cups. Felt unsanitary, very worn and old looking. Breakfast was very little portion. I order pancakes and they literally just gave one pancake and one egg. The staff was great. It’s what made everything feel good. They were very friendly and knowledgeable on what to do in the area. ”
