“This was one of the best places I have ever had the good fortune to stay. The owner, Konstantinos, acquired a few hundred year old property and renovated it into a unique and comfortable masterpiece for visitors. There are 5 'houses' each with a bedroom, living area, kitchen, shower/bath and couches with very comfortable pull out beds. Houses are carefully designed and have different layouts from one another. You could easily wander the property for hours admiring the cypress and beech woodwork,……

“We were in Chania last year and walked past this property. It looked so interesting, we tracked it down to book it for 2025 and were not disappointed. Waking up to the sea view was wonderful: sitting on the terrace with a cup of coffee watching the world go by was even better! There is a supply of plates, bowls and cutlery if you want to do some basic self-catering - and we went hunter-gathering at the amazing local market for olives, cheese and tomatoes to do just that. “Absolutely beautiful hotel in the most ideal location for a first time traveler like myself. All of the staff were very nice and helpful throughout my stay! I had a one bedroom king suite (3rd floor, so yes there are some stairs!) with a private balcony overlooking the harbor. Absolutely stunning views! The town itself is very walkable and the Elia sits from and center directly on the Chania Harbor! If you were looking at this hotel, don’t second-guess it and just book it you won’t regret it!”

“The property is in a residential area so you really feel like you're in traditional Crete. We were so pleased to find a light and airy apartment on arrival. It was really clean and well decorated. It was nice to find things like beach umbrellas, books, inflatables etc. in the communal areas that we were able to use. There is a fabulous restaurant over the road that is much cheaper than the places in town and offers a really nice variety of traditional Cretan food. The staff were so lovely and……
