Fantastic location on a high bluff overlooking the Pacific with accessible quiet beaches on either side. Heated pool overlooks the Pacific too. This property is a few minutes drive along the hard packed dirt coast road just outside San Pancho proper. There are little issues that some may fine detrimental. Very spotty wi fi and spotty cell phone service. Minor repairs need to be made throughout the property, especially in the rooms. Such as light bulbs not working, very loud squeaky fan, a leaky sink, tiles that may need to be replaced. This has all been noted by the new staff who have been there for just under a year. Hopefully these small issues will be dealt with to make this small bit of paradise even more relaxing and enjoyable. We have been back to Bungalows Lydia on and off about 5 times, one have seen improvements and will continue to do so.

The property was great. Linda was fabulous. They moved us. We had a raccoon breaking our kitchen a couple times, but it was fun. The beaches were great there.

2 miles north of San Pablo om Las Palmas Road. Nice infinity pool with hot tub overlooking two private beaches. Quiet location in the jungle. All rooms have hotplate for cooking, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, and 5 gallon jug of purified water. Dishes and utensils are also provided although we chose to drive into town for restaurants to avoid the hassle of cooking

Amazing ocean location

Bungalows Lydia has the most amazing ocean views and beach access. We had a little trouble communicating as no one on site could speak English and my Spanish is very poor but we managed and were able to check in and finalize payment (bring cash). Mrs. Lydia was an absolute gem. Even through our language barrier she did anything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Our room needed a little work but the first floor ocean suite had absolutely spectacular views. The walk down to the beach was a steeper stair but very manageable. The pool was nice and relaxing. The hot tub was not being heated at the time we were there. I would recommend either having a car or golf cart to get to town as it is a little way out of town but the quiet and property are worth it. We felt very safe as it is a gated property but we have been coming to San Pancho for 8 years and have never had a problem no matter where we stayed. There is no restaurant on site but we did cook a little for breakfast and light lunch and ended up in town for dinners. We would definitely stay again and I vow to start working on my Espanol!

Like: Stunning, beautiful setting, right on the Pacific with small, quiet facility, nice little pool, wonderful walkable beaches down the cliff, accommodating staff when we could find them. Dislike: poor wi-fi, spotty housekeeping, nighttime forest critter visits, little/no English. Our kitchen was not enclosed, so windy conditions made for various difficulties. A bit spendy for what we got.

Our stay at Bungalows Lydia was amazing. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The views are incredible. The bungalow we stayed in was lovely and comfortable. Lydia is a wonderful person to meet and know. She made out stay pleasant and she is so sweet. I hope we have the opportunity to visit this area and stay here again someday.

Lydia was lovely. Very sweet and caring. Our bungalow overlooked the ocean with an outstanding view. Very quiet cos we were there during low season--only a few guests. The pool is gorgeous. But if you're looking for fancy modern lodging this is not the place for you. It's also way out of town--quite remote which we enjoyed but not for everyone.

There is only Spanish speaking staff making it difficult for payment and questions. They asked us to pay fir our guest and there is no mention of that in their policies. The place is very remote and an extremely beautiful location. Listening to the tide was lovely.
