This is an old mid century motor lodge that may be locally owned and operated as a small business. I selected it because of the location and ease of parking. I read reviews to validate safety. I felt safe and have no regrets in choosing the hotel. Having said that, I would like to share this hotel is not as clean my favorite national chains, the pillows weren’t supportive, there was no facial bar soap that I use for shaving, the WiFi was not dependable and the shower did not maintain a steady water temperature. The towels were very clean but not soft. Despite the age, the property is maintained well, the parking lot is amazingly well lit and the location is in a quiet area…. Until 4:30am on a Tuesday morning when the trash truck sounded like it had ran over my car over and over while in reality it was picking up the trash from all the bins along the curb. If you’re okay or able to look past the obstacles, this is a viable option and is especially car friendly.

Parking was good, room was wonderful and clean (they even had good toilet paper!) and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Location was great with lots of food options around. All around wonderful experience that I would gladly recommend.

The pictures of the rooms are deceiving regarding cleanliness. The carpets were stained. There were burn holes (from cigarettes) on the blankets. The furniture was very dated. The refrigerator was not working and was leaking water. There was a toilet plunger just sitting outside by the second floor stairwell. The free parking was a nice perk, but the spots are limited. Definitely not enough spaces for everyone staying at the Inn.

Convenient location, motel-style. Simple and clean rooms seem like they’ve been updated fairly recently. No frills but great for a trip where you’re not spending a lot of time in the room! Parking on site is first come, first served and looked convenient (we didn’t have a car).

We stayed one night at the Symphony Inn and it served what we needed. Room was clean, hotel was quiet, parking included and on-site. The hotel is a 6 minute walk from the SF Jazz Center which was perfect. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. All in all - a great value for San Francisco.

Family of thee, one child, no pets. Pros: The staff was friendly, the parking was off-street and safe, the beds were comfortable, and location was conveniently located to playgrounds, restaurants, and Golden Gate Park. The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet at night! Cons: It is a very old building. The water pressure was bad, no ice machine, extremely slow lift, and some stains on pillows and carpet. We would not stay here again.
