Overall it was a good experience. Met good people. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was a bonus, waffles are great, but there are other healthier choices. If you are not gluten free, you gotta try the waffles at least once. My room was off the main street O’Farrell and it can be noisy at late night for a short period.

Even tho I only stayed one night due an issue with an another hostel, I had 0 issue with the staff and room, tho I wished it had an A/C. That would be my 1 outta 2 complaints. Other than that great place and breakfast availability. Hands down would book again. My 2nd complaint would the area, only at night you have to be careful but that’s it no other complaint.

Was really hard to get in to the kitchen to make meals. Aggressive dudes with very hot pans monopolized the kitchen each night. Always felt like I had to duck to get out of the way. Room and the bathroom were very clean. Front desk staff were decent. The manager is unbelievably rude. Out on the street things are dirty and chaotic. You'll easily get your fill of street people here - "for a lifetime".

My SF home

I love to stay here when I’m in the bay for work. The staff is amazing and friendly. The housekeeping staff is great, they were prompt in fixing a broken light. Orange Village is my SF home!
