I made a reservation here in the late evening, I called Expedia to confirm the reservation as I couldn’t get a hold of the hotel. The agent instructed me to go to hotel and check in if there was a problem doing so they’d refund the cost of stay. I arrive at Sweden House and could not find anyone (front desk) around finally found staff and he couldn’t check me in. So I call Expedia they tell me to initiate a return in the morning, which I did and now I am told a MONTH later Expedia cannnot reach this hotel, yet they are currently selling nights at this hotel ?!? That says A LOT.

I’m still waiting for my refund. I paid ahead but When the desk worker finally came to open the door, the first thing he said to me was “you’re not gonna like the room.” Later he told me “nobody likes the rooms. You should just go somewhere else” then he either feigned or displayed ignorance for how to enter my credit card information, gave up and told me again I should go somewhere else, then he Refused to give me a refund. When I contacted Expedia for a refund, they told me they needed his permission. I asked the desk clerk to please authorize the refund. He told me to go away, locked the door and stopped answering the phone. I’d like my $60 bucks back please. Thank god I didn’t pay ahead for more nights.

There was nothing to like about the property. It was seedy and we felt most unsafe there and in the surrounding area. That view of the room was completely miss leading and the supposed savings was miss leading

Stay only if the other option is the street.

The room looked like a set from a tv show “the worst crack houses in the US” This place is nothing like the photos. The room had holes in the walls, looks like someone beat the hell out of them. Yellow stains on the pillows and black on the sheets. I wouldn’t sit on the bed and I took a BART to the place. Broken mirror, broken furniture. Someone handy removed a shelf to use it as an “ashtray” by the window. There was a magazine rack on the wall that I can only imagine is to be used as a cloth hanger. Didn’t stay long enough to take photos.

As the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for". Room rates are very low, so I shouldn't complain but no toilet paper in the shared bathroom for three days. Lol

There is no management, and the dude in charge try to keep my deposit by telling me they lost it, and when i got the money it was fake money. It was a horrible experience and never again will i stay there.

DECEPCIÓN TOTAL!

ESTAFA!!! No te dejes llevar por las fotos el lugar no es nada que ver con lo que ofrecen, es un edificio viejísimo!tienes que compartir el baño con los otros huéspedes de todo el hotel tienes que llevar tu shampoo, jabón para bañarte y toallas propias para secarte por qué el hotel no ofrece nada de eso, para empezar la zona es demasiada insegura, tienes que llamar al número del letrero que dice en la reja de la entrada para que te puedan dejar pasar a hacer el check in , cabe mencionar que esperas prácticamente en la calle con homeless pasando al lado tuyo, el recepcionista es una persona muy amable la verdad pero fué lo único positivo que tiene ese “hotel”al entrar al cuarto oh sorpresa! Sentí que me metieron en una bodega en lugar de un departamento, huele sucio,el closet estaba lleno de maderas en la parte de arriba,la pintura de las paredes rajándose, el cuarto súper chiquito que apenas y podía abrir la puerta por que chocaba contra la cama al entrar, el “ cuarto” tenía telarañas! Las sábanas sucias de maquillaje de huéspedes anteriores, al mirar por la venta nisiquiera ves la calle de perdido, solo ves una pared del edificio de al lado, se escucha mucho ruido del edificio de al lado también jamás regresaría fué el lugar más horrible en el que haya estado, Malísima experiencia , quedé muy decepcionada , no deberían ni ofrecerlo en internet para reservas y si lo hacen pongan fotos actuales no de hace 100 años !.

Even though the price was $36 a night I still don’t think you should go. The tv was cracked, everything was just broken in the room and roaches everywhere. I wish I could post pictures because I have a lot.

The name was about all i liked. Made reservations online everything went through show up to the hotel was like 9:30 at night raining in San Francisco had to park blocks away from hotel and walk in the rain to start off frustrations just to find a note on the door shein call number Honda website
