“The location of this home was simply perfect. Beautiful water view as well as view of snow covered mountains in the distance. This was our first time to the area and we just fell in love with the whole vibe of the island. The home was well maintained and we couldnt have asked for more. We definitely will be returning. Thanks for the hospitality. ”

“Nice quiet place hardens are beautiful”

“I can’t say enough about what an absolutely lovely place this is. The view is amazing! The home is incredibly comfortable and very well taken care of. I frequently am disappointed by the “hand me down” quality of a lot of vacation rental places. This is not one of them! All the furnishings were of great quality and in pristine condition. The kitchen supplied everything we needed. The view of the bay from the hot tub was so soothing and wonderful! Location wise you couldn’t ask for better. If you……

I was worried because it’s close to a main road (though the road means you’re two minutes from shops and food), but the trees mostly block the sound. Also the house is extraordinarily sound proof. The binder of info is helpful! One suggestion would be to leave it out so it’s easier to find.Great space and hope to return!”

“My partner had never been to Orcas Island, and so it was my immense pleasure to introduce him to this lovely cottage! I have stayed here twice before, and each time I left feeling rejuvenated and completely relaxed - this stay was no different. The hot tub is one of the best features of this home, and the views of Buck Bay and Puget Sound are absolutely breathtaking. We hiked through Mt. “We stayed at The Cottage in the Woods for 9 nights for our 46th wedding anniversary. We had the most relaxing time. The cottage is everything you could wish for. The owner and his wife built this beautiful cottage and 99.9% of the art work and glasswork is also made by one or both of the hosts. The only downside would be if you have Verizon for your mobile service you will not have phone service at the cottage, Their WiFi works great. My favorite thing about the cottage is the chandelier……
