“Overall it was a really enjoyable stay at the Matterhorn. It was quiet, the rooms were clean and well appointed, and there were plenty of great restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The only thing I think prospective visitors need to know is that while it is a resort town, it looked like there was only one bar open past 10pm. All the other shops/restaurants close around 9pm or so. Other than that, the stay was amazing and the mountain views were absolutely stunning!”

“The setting was so beautiful. Pink petunia baskets everywhere. It had the added beauty of the river running along the property. Great views! It even had a dog park behind for the pets that stayed at the motel. I would stay there again, for sure.”

“The host was very friendly and responsive too! They even offered us bikes to check out free for a bike ride or to ride to town. It was so much fun. We decided we wanted to do the day train ride from Durango to Silverton but didn't have a car that day to drive to the train station. The trolley was just a block away which made it so convenient as it takes you really close to the train station and also free. Overall we loved it and would stay here again. The room was great, it had a sofa bed and……
