Up north

Fantastic place exactly as described. It is 'up north' so be prepared for a 35 minute cart ride from the airport. Well worth it for the pool, beach, and view

Fantastic house on San Pedro

The house was fantastic. It was in a quiet part of the island which we enjoyed, but easy to get into town. The ocean directly behind the was beautiful and we loved having a private pool and access to kayaks. We would definitely stay here again!

Very Relaxing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything about the house is lovely. The kitchen is well setup for cooking, the couches are very comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms are well done.The yard and pool area are well maintained. Of most importance are Fanny and Donny who take care of the house and grounds. They helped us will several ideas of where to go and keep everything neat and organized.The location of Anil Mar is both good and bad. As far out as it is makes for a very quiet and safe stay. The road can get rough and driving can get a little tiresome but once you have arrived it is worth it.

The Perfect Vacation!

From the moment we got to the house we were taken care of. Adam met us outside to help us get all settled in. The home was beautiful and came equipped with everything our family of 6 needed for our vacation. Everything was beautiful from the inside-out. We enjoyed the pool, the dock, and the absolute beautiful views from inside and outside the home. Helen and Adam made sure the home stayed clean, the beach was raked, and pool cleaned every morning. The food Helen prepared for us was some of the best food we ever ate. Adam set us up fishing poles to fish off of the pier. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a perfect and stress free vacation for your family and kids.

Quiet Retreat

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. First of all, Adam, the caretaker, and his wife Hellen are top notch! Adam made sure we had everything we needed daily. Hellen and her cooking, not to be missed! We were there for almost two weeks and could have easily stayed another two. Adam and his brother Felix took us out for a day of snorkeling, fishing, watching dolphins and feeding the tarpin. That was by far the highlight of the trip. The home is equipped for all your needs. The pool is fantastic! Probably the largest pool we've had at a home rental yet. We always bring pool floaties with us but didn't even need them because the home was more than well equipped. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing break!

Our Own Little Slice of Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at Anil Mar. We booked a private boat charter from the airport, which brought us right to our private dock. It was magical! Dony and Fanny met us at the house. They were so kind and attentive during our stay. The golf cart was conveniently waiting for us at the house. My daughters loved the pool and the inflatable toys. My favorite part was walking out to the dock every morning with my cup of tea and watching the fish, rays, and dolphins that would visit us every morning. It is a long drive to San Pedro on a bumpy road, but we loved it! We preferred being away from the busy town. It felt like paradise!

Quiet and peaceful, lovely

Had a great time! House had everything one needed. We were three couples, and there are four bedrooms. The only complaint is the downstairs with two bedrooms is more like a cabin in the woods, rustic. Had everything except kitchen. Does have a refrigerator and microwave though. Just separated, washer dryer upstairs. Caretaker is superb, can make anything happen including wonderful meals if one wishes. There is a fantastic boat available which we had a great time utilizing. Snorkeling coral reefs, the most beautiful I’d ever seen. All in all a great trip❣️

Comfortable and Beautiful Stay

We had a truly relaxing and peaceful stay at this property. The house is incredibly spacious, giving everyone plenty of room to spread out, and it’s tucked away in a very quiet area,which made for a wonderfully restful experience.The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly throughout the house, keeping everything cool and comfortable even in the heat. The pool was an absolute lifesaver and a centerpiece of our stay.Dony and Fany were fantastic at managing the property. They were responsive, attentive, and clearly take great pride in keeping the property in great shape. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and any questions we had were quickly addressed. One of the things we appreciated most was having access to a full kitchen and groceries, since the house is about 45 minutes from town by golf cart and around 30 minutes to Secret Beach. That said, there were a couple of downsides that weren't in the owners' control. There were severe storms and winds on two separate occasions, which caused water to come in through the front door. We spent one evening laying down towels to prevent flooding. Also, the sargassum was very heavy during our stay, preventing us from swimming in the ocean at the property, which was a big disappointment for us. Thankfully, the pool more than made up for it.All in all, this is a beautiful, peaceful property, and I'd recommend it to anyone

A Slice of Paradise

Located just north of San Pedro it was outside of the hustle and bustle but very easy to access everything.Adam, the caretaker, was very helpful and knowledgeable. The addition of the dogs was just amazing for our kids.The house was amazing. I read previous reviews and understood the first floor wasn't connected to the second floor internally. One of our kids just slept on the pull-out couch as we weren't comfortable having that much separation. The kitchen was completely stocked and the views out the windows were breath taking.We weren't able to swim in the water out by the docks so it was nice to have the pool to enjoy.We would come back here in a heartbeat!!

Everything surpassed what we expected. From Simon the manager to Adam the amazing caretaker who was there and willing to help us with anything we wanted and always with a cheerful and welcoming smile and positive attitude and energy.You are the best Adam!! San Pedro is full of such friendly and helpful people. It sure made for a fun and exciting time. We fell in love with many of the places we visited and formed some great new friendships. I just can’t say enough positive for it all. If you want excellent food have Helen make meals for you. You will be so pleased!! We are planning a return trip soon. Can’t wait to return!!! Amazing property

This property was an A+ from start to finish. Simon and Elena made things so easy and were super helpful with every question we had. The on line guidebook is a MUST to read entirely before you travel. It saved us a LOT of time. Alex with Exquistie Eats was the best in home chef we could ask for. Food was amazing. Adam, on site property manager, was great! He was available when needed and checked in each day. He even took the time to show us the four stages of coconuts including climbing a tree! The house was super clean and stocked well. Beds were comfortable. It was such an amazing home. We could see the boats on Shark Ray alley from the house. Only minor downside is stairs to the lower level were outside. If you like the beach, this is not the place for you. There is a lot of seaweed and no swimming. However, EVERYTHING else in this home made up for it. The pool and view were incredible. There are many restaurants close by including Sweet Water and Tropical Escape with excellent food. The golf cart ride is an adventure in itself lol. We traveled all the way to Tranquility Bay, which was a little far to go in the golf cart but we spent some time at Margaritaville which was fun. I could go on and on and on. It was a perfect vacation. We would definitely recommend and return to this property. Thank you for sharing your amazing home.

Wonderful stay

We truly enjoyed our stay despite debris on the beach which Adam and his son were very prompt to clean up. Adam was a great help and setup my husband and his brother on some amazing fishing expedition. Can wait to come back and visit 😊!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd trip to Belize and 2nd time staying at Anil Mar. It’s hard to find the words for how much we love this home. It’s simple but beautiful. It feels like home! We heard wonderful things about the new owners and it appears they are upgrading certain features of the house. The caretakers (Dony & Fanny) were amazing! They checked in with us often and were very helpful. They are genuinely the nicest people! Sunrise Property Management was also very helpful when we booked our reservation. They arranged excursions for us, our golf cart rental snd anything else we needed before arrival. We look forward to staying here again.

Best place on the Island

Adam, the care taker, is amazing.. We have been to San Pedro about a dozen times and multiple at this location.. It is the best.. Don't look anywhere else.

Vacation at Anil Mar

Anil Mar is a great location and beautiful. Adam is wonderful and very helpful. The sargassum is all over the beach, but there isn’t much we could do about that. Ambergris Caye is a wonderful place to visit.

Holiday vacation in paradise

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this house, Adam and the property management company. We had several cancelled flights both trying to get there and get back to the US and they were so helpful getting our flights to and from the island changed and accommodating us. Adam was so helpful with anything we needed and the house was so beautiful. What an amazing place to stay.

Beautiful property

Property and house were well maintained. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and kayaking. The best part of the vacation was Adam. He netted us bait for fishing and kept the pool clean. He assisted us when our golf cart blew a tire and made sure we had a new cart as soon as possible. Normally we rent a different house each year in Belize but we all agreed that we are returning to Anil Mar.

Anil Mar a wonderful rental experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had a lovely vacation in this beautiful spot and spacious villa. The layout of porch, pool, and dock is ideal, and the property is located a five minute walk up/down beach in either direction from nice restaurants. The groundskeeper is friendly and helpful.
