“Satisfactory ”

“The hotel is very well run and the hosts are very helpful. The rooms are a decent size. Although it took a while for the water to warm up in the shower. I acknowledge that this is beyond the owner’s control, but my second floor room overlooked a junction and the traffic was noisy . At about 4am a lorry collected the empty glass bottles. The noise of the crash as the glass shattered was shocking. Avoid a roadside room on a Wednesday morning….if you want undisturbed sleep.”

“a farmhouse, you can feel the humidity of the stone wall room, a bit too dark inside the room, but general acceptable beautiful environment, you can enjoy a very good countryside view (inc the corfe castle ruins), if you dont want to drive to the town to have lunch or dinner, you can enjoy the local meal at the farmhouse restaurant”

“Such a nice place to stay and very beautifully antique yet modern. The view of the castle was amazing from our room and it was a nice walk through the quaint town to visit the castle. Breakfast was great and so nice that it was included. Dinner was very good too.”

“OK room - no air con but understandable give the age of the building. Bed was OK, but traffic noise is noticeable, especially with the window open (remember there is no air con), so not the best nights' sleep. Staff were fantastic though, especially the breakfast server and the breakfast itself was great.”

“Fantastic one might stay for a wedding. Huge room and bathroom, tea and coffee and Tv in the room. Super clean and friendly owner. Excellent breakfast all freshly cooked along with cereals and fruit. Parking on site and easy walking to the town. Will definitely go back.”

“Very helpful staff and the food was great. The Hotel is a bit tired and decor is dated”

“We stayed for 1 night at the hotel, in a lovely room at the back, overlooking the river. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the hotel is well maintained. As an electric car driver, the ability to charge the car overnight was a huge plus. Breakfast was good, fried egg, sausage, bacon etc, plus pastries and cereal available. Just two minor quibbles with the room: the air conditioning unit showed the set temperature illuminated with a very bright white light, which stopped the room from being……

“The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond when were stranded due to the storm and needed to extend our stay. The hotel was clean and facilities were perfect for our stay- thank you!”

“Old hotel. Food was good. Three issues: bed was uncomfortable; tap water was not recommended for drinking with the hotel providing carafes of water to take to your room; and parking spaces are quite limited.”
