Wonderful Cottage - Excellent Central Location

The Abode is a wonderful 2 bedroom cottage with everything you need. It's nicely appointed with coffee, tea, and snacks to make your first morning go smoothly. It's very clean and the beds are comfortable. The back garden is an extra delight.

A Magical Stay in the Heart of Sandwich

From the moment we stepped into The Abode, its character and warmth were simply enchanting. The careful restoration of the 15th-century cottage, paired with modern comforts like a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and Sky glass TV made our stay both cosy and convenient. The location couldn’t be better - a short walk to my parents place, the Abode is nestled among charming shops and riverside walks, yet surprisingly quiet. Best of all, our dog was welcome. Truly a perfect stay—already planning a return!

Holiday in the heart of a small town

We stayed in this lovely cottage for 12 days with two teenagers. The house is lovingly furnished and decorated, and we felt very welcome. Lisa, the owner, took such good care of everything we needed. She was always available for questions or concerns. A supermarket, small shops, pubs, and restaurants are all within a few minutes' walk. So we were right in the middle of small-town English life. The house is small and very nice, and we had everything we needed.

Relaxing Stay in Cottage in the Heart of Sandwich

A wonderful place to stay and the owner has certainly put effort into making it very comfortable for visitors. The kitchen provides all the key things you need. The free tea, coffee and many other things were lovely and unexpected. The rear courtyard garden is beautiful and a wonderful suntrap. The cottage is very dog friendly with some free dog treats provided (which were very happily received!). Upstairs the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. All the sites and amenities of Sandwich are within minutes walking distance. Just a few things to note: This is an old cottage and upstairs is multi-level and with slightly sloping floors. Currently the TV does not get an aerial signal so you have to use apps for everything. Although hopefully this will be fixed at some point. Don't run the dishwasher and the shower otherwise the shower seems to get very hot. The front of the house is very close to the road and although a relatively quiet road you may need the secondary glazing closed in the front bedroom to limit noise overnight.
