“I found this property when we had to move out earlier than planed for renovation works to our house. On arrival we were all stunned at the beauty on the gardens , the wild life, the fact we appear to be the only guests. Staff were amazing as i had 1 night were we had no where to staff, and staff were able to accommodate us. If you are looking for peace tranquillity i would highly recommend this place. “Poorly maintained, master bedroom door handle was on top of the cupboard and the shower hose leaks. Not enough electrical sockets to provide power to laptop and lights. Furniture was a bit uncomfortable. Bed was very squeaky. Overall adequate for its purposes and met expectations. Wifi details provided were incorrect, but its on the hub so managed. TV was only usable with youtube as its the only service available that didn't require signing in. No live digital channels available. ……

“The Bothy is a great find. Intimate space ideal for a couple that would suit a small family too. Bothy was spotless. Some nice walks nearby and interesting spots a short drive away. The hot tub is really welcoming on a cold evening.”

“This is a fantastic cottage in an adorable village. It has rolling hills, a burn and lots of sheep! The cottage itself was quite large and was fit for our family of 6, including adult children and their spouses. It was clean, decorated well and rather comfortable. There are amenities within walking distance such as a pub, museum, etc. We wished we had stayed longer and we'll definitely return!”

“Warm and cozy sleeping with the shutters and curtains drawn. Respect the house, switch on the pump if you light the fire, and yes I loved the wood smoke smells, it is mostly round the fire, if the fire is only embers you can switch off the pump, it's circulating the hot water from the fire, I was able to see local interests and the wonderful fresh air, excellent countryside. The ruin of Carmicheal House makes me wonder at its one time beauty, and it's just a short walk to from the cottage,……

Very clean and extremely well appointed, particularly the kitchen. We loved the cozy living room in the evenings for family games and movie watching.
