Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the rainforest and Malinka waterfall. Wonderful staff. Very close to Malinka waterfall. Peaceful and we loved it.

Quiet and peaceful stay

A bit of a daunting 30 minute drive up from Minca but hotel organised the transfer both ways at very reasonable cost and it was more than worth it. A beautiful location and a must for birdwatchers. The nearby waterfall, easily walkable, was quite an experience.

Staying at the reserve was a great way to experience local wildlife and nature. Very unique experience and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend checking out the bird watching tours and exploring Minca.

What a beautiful place !

Absolutely beautiful and lush grounds and surroundings! Being woke every day by hundred of hummingbirds was an experience! I had the biggest cottage in the hotel, very peaceful and private, with a wraparound balcony . Large room, free coffee, nice towels. Very quiet at night . The views were out of this world. The property offers free breakfast to order, and also lunch and dinner ( $) , plus free potable water. Those are important, as to go to Minca is s about $23 each way by jeep. The ground are beautiful and they have about 18 colourful and friendly macaws roaming around , plus a few other saved animals on site. MARINKA Waterfall is just 8 min down the hill (20,000 COP to get in , has a restaurant and nice suspended nets to enjoy the view of the waterfall. Water is cold, so bring a towel and a jersey with you. Recommendations: sheets need to be ironed. Need one dresser in room # 5. Staff needs to pay more attention to cleaning( especially the shower and the floors). Excellent customer service from Saidi, Jaime and John. To get here you need to get a moto or a jeep from Minca. I took the jeep ( 100,000 COP). When you leave, take your time. The jeep that the hotel requested for me was 50 minutes late. Wifi was also down. Also , order your UBER in Minca when you leave, so you can pay with a credit card. There are plenty waiting for you when you get off the jeep . The hotel will offer to reserve one, but is not cheaper than Uber and you need to have COP to pay.

Excellent accomodation in even better location.

Then view from the rooms is exceptional and they feed fruit on feeders to the birds which is a great touch - rooms were suberb but could use a fan.

Be aware that the hotel is not accessible by car or small SUV. You have to park in Minca and take from there a big 4x4 taxi (30 min ride) or a moto taxi (20 min) to reach the hotel.

This place was incredible! A tranquil slice of heaven in the hills. Beware that you can only access the hotel by motorcycle or Jeep (25 min, $25 USD), as the roads are very rough. However, once you arrive you will be greeted by a friendly staff and beautiful room. Our room was thoughtfully decorated and everything was very clean. We only ate one meal, but it was delicious. The staff went above and beyond and prepared a snack for our early morning travels the next day. Falling asleep to the sound of the waterfall was magical. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.

The grounds are really beautiful and it was fun watching the peacocks and parrots and visiting the animals in the reserve. Although it’s up in the hills, taking the mototaxi was an adventure in itself and it was a pleasant and non-strenuous walk up from Minca. The staff were pretty friendly and spoke very good English and the Wi-Fi was extremely fast. As for the downsides, whilst the breakfast was quite nice we found the dinner to be a disappointment and ended up eating a late lunch in Minca town for most of our stay. There are also some serious bug issues in some of the rooms - we were initially put in a room where the doors weren’t properly sealed and it made the night extremely uncomfortable and there were probably 100 bugs the size of my thumb in the room by the morning. The staff were happy to change us to a different room where we had no issues but they did give another guest our room (we chatted to her one morning and she also mentioned the bug issues). They really need to fix this issue and in the meantime block out the room because it was truly disgusting.
