“Excellent location for the ferry and local bars and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean. The atrium balconies were a surprise as that is exactly what they are, looking into a covered atrium so no actual outside windows. Breakfast was a buffet, well stocked and plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful and friendly, giving good advice on where to visit and eat.”

“Nice welcome and excellent breakfast. Comfortable large room with lovely views over harbour. Convenient for buses and electric railway. Still some modernising and improvements being done. We enjoyed our stay. ”

“The family run Welbeck Hotel was perfect for our short stay on the I.O.M. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spacious and immaculately clean, serviced every day, early access to our rooms was much appreciated. Meals were served in a lovely dining room with a good selection of breakfast options. In our opinion the hotel is worthy of a higher star rating, the fact that it’s a 15min walk in to town was not an issue for us. We would definitely stay……

“Best place I’ve stayed on the Isle of Mann. Room was well maintained, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was 1st class, good quality and very welcoming. Staff were excellent from check in, to the bar staff and breakfast staff all couldn’t do enough for you. We shall be booking for next years visit.”

“Warm welcome, enjoyed delicious breakfast and nice chat with owners each morning. Facilities in good condition and well maintained. Decorated intentionally making guests a home stay feel. Near bus stop and promenade, also walkable distance to main streets and dock. To nitpick, there’s creaky sound walking on the wooden floor.”

“A very nice quiet hotel located right of the promenade , villa marina and near many good places to eat and shop within walking distance. Excellent staff provides quiet, friendly service. Room was very comfortable , quiet and everything worked well and was well maintained. It’s a great choice in Douglas. Restaurant had very good food too.”
