A Perfect Stay in a Truly Beautiful Historic Home
From the moment I was greeted by Anna, I knew my stay at the McMillan Inn would be something special — and it truly was. The care I received from the entire staff — Emmie (who made the best poached eggs), Irma, Kathy, Ashley, and the owners — was above and beyond.
As someone with a few dietary restrictions, I was especially grateful for the thoughtful effort the staff put into my breakfast each morning. They didn’t just accommodate me — they went out of their way to make sure I felt cared for.
The inn itself is a gem — a stunning 18th-century home with decor that’s both historically rich and warmly inviting.
My room was kept clean and comfortable every single day, and every corner of the house made me feel like I’d stepped back in time in the best way.
The location was ideal: just a few minutes’ walk to Forsyth Park, amazing restaurants, and the riverfront. I only needed Uber twice — the airport and for Tybee Island (about 20 minutes away). Otherwise, I walked everywhere —even in kitty heels! Every historic square, landmark, and dinner on my list was just a few minutes away.
I have nothing but great things to say about the McMillan Inn — the beautiful home, the outstanding service, the thoughtful staff, and the perfect walkable location. I can’t wait to return.
