“It was just me and my son for an overnight stay. I hadn't paid for a sea view room and ended up with a large corner ensuite room with free tea/coffee,(Kettle). When we left the room the door wouldn't lock so went to reception to report it,in the meantime I went to get my car as I'd got a space in the hotel car park (very limited spaces £6.00 for the night).Back at the hotel they gave us another room a sea view with no extra charge. “Return visit like the area about 20-25 mins walk downhill to Whitby harbour area. Bus stop by school or Sainsburys minutes away. Bedrooms clean and big for 2 people. Staff very friendly and helpful. Car parking free and if u forgot anything there is a sainsburys fee mins walk away Breakfast has various choices to suit different appetite too and family friendly. Would return again”

“Its not the most stylish or modern of places to stay but it has a lovely feel to it. Staff are honest, i left my ear buds and they handed them in. The building is quirky but i was so relaxed with my kids cos there was nothing to break/damage. I could smoke on the balcony and no one cared. I will stay here again 100%”

“Loved our stay in the shepherds hut. Great family get away in a lovely location. Fun alternative to our usual camping. Lovely facilities, amazing welcoming staff and delicious breakfast. Short drive to all local destinations…wish we had stayed another night! ”
