"Nice rural location. Pleasant walk of about an hour into Melrose via Leaderfoot bridge and sight of Trimontium. The cottage was cold when we arrived. We used the electric heaters provided but they weren’t quite up to the job. Cottage could have been a bit cleaner. Good parking and WiFi."

"First time we have never given a 5 star review for Cottages.com accommodation. Cottage is in a lovely area, decor a little tired. Very peaceful, however was a little surprised and disappointed to find that the kitchen tap was held together with electrical tape, presumably to suppress a possible leak, also the side lamp in living area did not have a bulb. Would like to suggest that maybe the front and rear doors could have a blind fitted for privacy, especially if you need to go downstairs to the...
