Weekend in Sea Ranch

Great visit! The big kids loved the loft and the adults loved the family room facing the ocean as well as the deck. We also appreciated the free Netflix and pool access.

Cozy, spacious, picturesque

The cabin was marvelous. The views were amazing. Furniture arranged to take advantage of the views. Well stocked kitchen and amenities. Spacious with a lot of compartments that also allows for personal space in a group. Only disappointment was the unclean jacuzzi. If not for that, would have been 5 stars. I would definitely stay here again.

Lots of Potential - Needs Work

House is in a great location at Sea Ranch and the hot tub was nice. Yet, it has a persistent ant infestation in the kitchen and bathrooms that we experienced first hand. Pots and pans are scratched. Gas fireplace didn't work. Vacasa check-out process unpleasant with the late check-out.

Third times still a charm

Location and layout of home is nice. It amazes me that you are a stones throw from hwy 1 and we never hear traffic unless we are on front deck and its only a large truck. This is our 3rd time at this home so i find it very cozy and comfortable. I enjoy the kitchen. The great room feeling is nice. I also enjoy the tv room snd sitting room close but separate. Bathroom showers are nice. Bed nice and comfy. The only heat is from a wood fireplace and a gas fireplace. They have circulating fans to move to rooms. We were never cold but sometimes a little warm. We would stay there again. Great view if ocean.

Spring Break

This is one of the older homes on the Sea Ranch with a spectacular view and an excellent location for most of the attractions and activities at Sea Ranch. The home has been updated so most required appliances function are in good condition and function well. Primary heating is the fireplace with 3 space heaters for the bedrooms. We've stayed here before and asked in advance to ensure the BBQ was working (it was) and there were enough space heaters for all 3 bedrooms (there were). There was not quite enough firewood left for the week so we had to supplement the supply with a couple of bundles from the local hardware store in Gualala. Host was responsive to our needs and requests and the home was an excellent place to snuggle in when the Spring rain came a calling. We recommend it highly for young families who want to be close to the Olsen Pool and centrally located for runs into town for supplies, quick trips to the beach at lowtide, and a lazy afternoon visit to the Sea Ranch Lodge for a cocktail and a cheese platter for the kids.

Birthday Beach Girl Trip

The property was well depicted in the description online and in the photos. It was well kept and spacious and had lots of options for where to sleep...I think that was my favorite as we had six ladies who all had different waking hours. The kitchen was excellent and well stocked with cooking implements of all kinds. We made hot breakfasts and my sis made a pie and all the kitchen tools were there. Everything worked great. Nice to have light switches labeled. Gas fire worked. Everything was very clean and such a nice big house gave us options for hanging out. There were even board games, cards, books and movies (we had brought all of our own and didn't have time to hardly use half of ours!) which we didn't use but it was nice they were there. The only thing I didn't like was the late arrival and early departure times. This being my first time renting a place I didn't ask to change them but I would another time. I know it takes a while to clean a big place but we tried to be clean - didn't leave the place full of pizza boxes, underwear, beer bottles and trash :D so I get that housekeeping wouldn't know what to expect and might take a while. It made our last morning very hectic. Otherwise everything was nice.

Heads up if you’re a cook…

-Cute and warm layout with the two living room areas -Not literally warm though: the gas fireplace works, but none of the other heaters do. There is a wood fireplace and firewood, but there was no kindling. -I was in the master and the bed was really comfy -Heads up if you’re a cook…the cookware is terrible! Like what you’d expect at a funky cabin: old non-stick pans, mostly plastic cooking utensils, and very little in the way of serving ware, even (No large serving bowls or plates, no salad bowl but plastic.) Both quality and quantity were grim on the cookware. Plenty of plates and glasses though. (Fortunately I got there early, saw the situation, and we are local, so I had my friends bring cooking pans and mixing bowls!) -Somehow I didn’t notice in the listing that the house is right on Hwy 1, backs up to it. There was no issue with noise though. (Of course, I was in the master in the front of the house.) -Since this info was nowhere in the house and I had to figure it myself, I pass this along to you here if you stay here: the walking path to the bluffs is BEHIND the house. It’s lovely. Overall the house is cute.

We had a beautiful stay at sea ranch, the views were spectacular and the house was lovely. Our only problem was ants in the kitchen, ate our banana bread dessert, but didn’t dampen our spirits!

Sea ranch home

Jacuzzi was nice besides the dead frog in the filter. The home itself is dated and semi clean, lots of spider webs and ants. Weather was foggy and not much to do in the area

The property is one of the older homes at Sea Ranch, and we're very familiar with Sea Ranch being former home owners and visitors for over 40 years. The property is high on the meadow with an outstanding view. The property is well maintained, and has been upgraded over the years and for the most part, everything worked.

Our ThanksGiving stay

The View was excellent and the proximity to the ocean walk, beach and ocean was perfect. The home is very dated and none of the heaters worked so vacasa had to provide us space heaters given the temperature was in the mic 40's at night. There should be a check list for the local Vacasa office to run through to be sure the home is habitable. The move in book was a mess as well with loose pages etc. There was a Vacasa notice " be sure to take off your snow boots at the door...should have been a wake up...lol. All said and done our family enjoyed the home and our stay...it wouldn't take much to correct the challenges.

Easy check in. We loved the view of the ocean. Plenty of room to gather in the 2 spacious living rooms. Newly remodeled bathrooms. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the hot tub. Perfect for our family!

We are a group of women who visit Sea Ranch at least annually or more often. The house was very comfortable with lovely views We enjoyed the two living room areas . The house is better suited for couples due to the type of beds. A few critiques: many sets of stairs up and down to different levels, the kitchen could use a a blender otherwise it was well equipped, the lockbox didn't work and we had to contact management to get into the house, up to date instructions needed for using the TV and streaming options.

Lovely house with gorgeous ocean view with a few quirks

This house was really very lovely with beautiful ocean views. Being farther back from the coast means you have a longer trek to the beach, but from the house you can see further out to sea which is quite magical. As others have stated, the layout of the house is a bit funky, with one of the two bathrooms accessible only through the primary bedroom which poses a challenge to privacy. The house was very clean upon arrival, and the kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils. As for the downsides: the upholstery in one of the couches is coming apart, as are the outdoor cushions. The main issue we encountered was a drastically increasing number of ants over the 4 nights we stayed. There were none on arrival day but by the day we left they seemed to be EVERYWHERE, despite leaving all our food well sealed and a few ant traps left out by the maintenance team.

Relaxing Stay

This was our third time returning to this house, and we keep coming back for the lovely views. While not right on the ocean, we enjoy seeing the ocean over fields and through the trees. We enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen and relaxing in the living and family rooms. Our family was very comfortable and our kids especially enjoyed the loft area. The new hot tub was a big plus for us as well. There are a few quirks… windows with missing or damaged screens that let in a few bugs, and a persistent ant problem- but the good points of this house outweigh the few minor inconveniences.

Peaceful and great views

The house is in line with Sea Ranch’s vibe. Great views and comfortable enough for 6 people and a baby. The hot tub looks new. The cookware could be refreshed but other than that, The experience was great and I would recommend this place.
