“It was very cold and our room had no heating, they did supply us with a heater which promptly broke down, they did very kindly offer us dinner on the house, which we accepted. The hotel itself is a little tired and although it has been partially upgraded it still needs a lot of refurbishing to bring it up to an acceptable standard.”

“We had the most wonderful stay at Blackwell House in Scarva! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome — nothing was too much trouble. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, full of charm and character, with every little detail thought of to make guests feel at home. The food was incredible (and plentiful!) and the rooms were spotless, cosy, and luxurious all at once. It’s one of those rare places where you can truly switch off and relax, and yet still feel utterly spoiled.……

“We booked this B&B as part of a minibreak, stayed for three nights. Absolutely faultless. Pre-arrival, contact was made regarding our booking, and advice offered regarding our visit. On arrival, Cathy and Noel, the owners, were most welcoming. Bedroom was clean, with all the usual facilities, including fridge, and a decent hair drier, an increasing rarity these days. Booking for breakfast was fab. You had a large array of choices, one of which was a 'build your own' option...such a good idea,……

“Great location, 15 min walk into central Belfast, local amenities lots of options and open late which was great Room was ok (room 5), walls really thin so take ear plugs to block out televisions and snorers Kitchen facilities limited, and smelt really damp. Needs a deep clean overall and if you leave food in the fridge it is at your own risk, ours was stolen on the first night. ”
