“This hotel was probably state of the art 35/40 yrs ago. It’s very well photographed but in honesty… it’s awful. Rooms are worn out, carpets in places are threadbare. Bathroom had various it’s broken or loose. In the evenings was a constant smell of over cooked vegetables that was very unpleasant. Having spoken to locals it’s recently been taken over but it’s in need of HUGE investment I (and neither will my colleagues) definitely won’t be staying there again.”

“Bed and breakfast was great, the staff were lovely. There were lots of little touches in the room for example, decent coffee sachets and the breakfast consisted of many cooked choices + cereals, yoghurt and fruit etc. The room was very clean and the shower was good. The only slight negative was the location as there wasn’t much around and after our dinner reservation was cancelled (chef was ill I think) we had to try and find somewhere else to eat which required driving to get there. Couldn’t be……

“We stayed here one night as a last minute getaway from the heat back home . The property was spotless and everything was so thoughtful , so many personal touches showing the care they take with their guests . They went above and beyond when I had an issue with my car charging and drove me all the way to it, which would have cost £50 in a taxi. My children loved the animals on site and the owners were very patient answering all their questions ! Thank you so much for your kindness !”

“We were a family. It was a great place to stay for the night while waiting for the ferry to Dublin. Fun time in the restaurant-pub on trivia night. Excellent breakfast.”

“Great property for a get together with friends. There’s 3 on suite rooms and a double bedroom downstairs’ with a bathroom close by, there is also a twin room which is small but a nice room, ‘BUT’ you do have to go downstairs to use the loo, as the two bedrooms upstairs are on suite. That was the only fault we could find(if there’s 10 sharing) with this immaculate house. The pool table was well used by us all, as was the outside sitting areas and the hot tub. “Good location within walking distance of the small village centre, beach, and golf course. The property was a good space with what you need. Bed was comfortable and the place was warm. Cleanliness was an issue, there were still hairs in the bathtub. The shower head holder also did not stay in place which made it difficult to take showers without spraying water everywhere. One toilet roll provided for a week is a bit tight. Overall, would've been a nice space if more attention and care was given……
