Wedding weekend

Property was perfect, clean and comfortable. Lake fishing was good, paddle boards fun as well. Kitchen was stocked well.

Beautiful property and views

We had a group of women stay for a 50th birthday retreat weekend. This was exactly what we needed. Beach area by lake was a nice touch. Kitchen is fully stocked with most items you’d need to cook/grill. We felt right at home, and communication with homeowners is top notch. Fireworks in Sturgis was fantastic to watch on the deck. Would absolutely stay here again!

Layout of house was exactly what we needed.

We had our family Christmas get at the house. Big kitchen made meal prep easy. Beautiful swans still swimming in the lake (in December)

Very nice place

Watched the pair of swans and the juveniles stroll the lake along with the Canadian geese. Located just minutes from restaurants and grocery stores. A very relaxing place.

Who Crew's most excellent adventure

We all had a great time. Really enjoyed the house and all the amenities. The lakefront was very peaceful. Spent lots of time on the deck, patio and in the hot tub.

Picturesque!

We had a great stay! The house has everything guests could possibly need (and more), but the view really stole the show. We loved watching the sunset over the water each night. We would recommend this property without hesitation!

The house was adorable with lots of cute areas to relax and enjoy. Bedrooms were very comfy.

It was a very clean house and perfect for family getaways. Close enough to grocery stores and fast food restaurants. The owners were very easy to work with, always available for questions and help when needed.

We enjoyed our stay in very clean home on this peaceful lake. Had a bit of trouble with tv..internet and was eventually resolved. Enjoyed rowing a bit on the lake with my sister.

Ladies Weekend

We loved everything about the property! Cooking the meals, spending time in the sun room doing artwork, relaxing by the campfire eating s'mores, and shopping in Amish country. My friends and mother came from Ohio and I came from Indiana. It was a great meet in the middle.

Peaceful Paradise

What a beautiful home and surroundings. We spent many hours enjoying the view and the abundant wildlife. The house had everything we needed and the hosts were communicative and wonderful. We also loved the town. The bookstore was very impressive! Make sure you stop in and take a look.

Peaceful Lakefront Setting

Beautiful lakefront property on small lake with quiet surroundings. Enjoyed watching swans, blue herons and other wildlife. The grandchildren enjoyed the hot tub, fishing, rowboating and paddleboarding on the lake. The home was very clean and well appointed and met all our needs during our 4 day stay.

Had a very Merry Christmas

We rented this house to have a place to hold our family Christmas. The layout of the home was perfect and the large gourmet kitchen was wonderful for cooking a huge family meal. The dinning room was wonderful as the entire family could sit and eat. The Lake view was beautiful including the swans and Sunsets. Would definitely recommend this rental to others

Perfect spot for a group of friends

7 friends get together for an annual trip. Serendipity on the lake was a great location for us - we enjoyed the views from the deck, the sunroom, and the living room/kitchen. The kitchen was wonderful for our meals and appreciated the charcoal grill with all the necessary supplies. We used the kayak and rowboat to explore the lake, too!

Amazing get away

Thr property is as advertised. It is clean and roomy….so much space. New kitchen has been installed , and it’s gorgeous. Beautiful view. We used kayaks, hot tub, sunroom, and game in the lower level. We went to the huge flea market in Shipshewana and enjoyed the amish are there, as it’s only 30 minutes away. Our stay at the lake was so quiet and relaxful. We totally recommend for any group. We may return next year for our Sister trip.

Wonderful Home

Our overall experience here was WONDERFUL! The lake view was so relaxing. There were swans on the property daily, which were so fun to watch. The house was very clean and well decorated. The kitchen was FULLY stocked which made it easy to make our dinners. The main level doesn't have a bathroom or tv which was a bummer for my aunt and Mom who can't do stairs well. And the hill to the lake is steep, so they weren't able to get down to the lake to enjoy it, but overall, we were still very pleased with the stay. Would we stay again? YES! Absolutely. It met our needs and we had a great time! Close to Sturgis and Shipshewana which is where we spent most of our time. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous home!

Family stay

First, a disclaimer, I rarely give a 5/5 star overall rating as I believe perfection really doesn't exist. That being said many things were excellent, such as a check in and communication with the owners. This communication included an issue that came up before we checked in. The owners notified me of the issue and were fair in taking care of the issue. My one suggestion would be to put blinds or better curtains of the windows so the bedrooms are darker for sleeping. Our biggest disappointment was the lack of beach. We can see where the beach was supposed to be but just hasn't been kept up. Overall a great stay!

Beautiful and peaceful!!

Our family had a wonderful time at the lakehouse! It is a quad level home and the layout of the house flows nicely. All the bedrooms had comfortable queen beds and closets for hanging up clothes. The 3 bedrooms upstairs shared a nice sized bathroom (no tub). The single bedroom on the lower level offered a little more privacy and had a jet tub! The kitchen was well stocked with seasonings, sauces, paper supplies...all the basics! The microwave was really cool, and there is an ice maker (just make sure you turn it on when you arrive). The frosty mugs were very nice to have as there is lots of sunshine! My husband and our kids enjoyed walking to the dock to fish and also taking the kayaks out. The garage offers lots and lots of water supplies- kayaks, paddles, tubes, life jackets, water toys...the only thing we didn't find was goggles. The water was very clear and had tons of lily pads! The hot tub was most enjoyable, and we spent a good amount of time just hanging out on the deck, soaking up the sun. The sunroom was probably my favorite place to have coffee and relax and my son's favorite place to nap! Absolutely beautiful home, and our favorite vacation place by far! A great place to relax and hang out. Our family truly enjoyed our time together at the lakehouse, and we would love to go back next summer!

Nice stay on the lake

Property is as advertised. Home is very nice, clean, and spacious. The kitchen and the lower bathroom have been recently remodeled and the rest of the house is well maintained. Home has 4 bedrooms and they are good size. Beds are comfortable. House is fully stocked with everything. Sunroom is a nice bonus and great extra room. View of the lake is very nice from the main level of the house and sunroom. Hot tub adds to the house for sure and is a nice option. The house is a quad level, so its convenient to get from the main level to either the lower level (where sunroom, 1 bedroom, and 2nd living room are) and upper level (3 bedrooms). The only cons to the property are: 1) the lack of swimming area- there is a beach on the shore, but the water in front of that and by the dock is complete muck, as in you sink down a foot into the muck. There is a public boat launch 2 houses down and around the corner that has a better swimming area and we made that work, but it's not "private" or ideal. This tends to attract some questionable locals in the swimming area 2) The backyard has a very steep decline/hill going down to the water (not shown in pics). It wasn't bad for us (I'm in my 40's and we had younger kids) but when my dad came for a few days (in his 70's) it was a little rough for him getting up the hill. Just something to consider if you have handicap/elderly that want to go down by the water, kayak, etc Overall a great property though
