Vacation at Unwind

We had the most wonderful stay at Unwind. Everything was perfect. We used the hot tub, pool, movie room, decks, all the bedrooms and the common areas. It was beautiful and comfortable. We have a family of 12 and everyone loved it. It was also very convenient to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We couldn’t ask for anything better. Thanks so much!

Beauty and Relaxation

Our family of 11 completely enjoyed our stay at "Laughing Pines". The property was beautifully decorated and updated. The theater room, pool and hottub were all a huge hit. The kitchen was spacious and well appointed for a large group. My only suggestions would be: tighten the kitchen faucet, replace the pans as they are no longer non-stick and maybe supply a larger pan, repair the hot water in the half bath off the kitchen and in the pool room-the hot water just trickles out and add dressers to bedrooms-there was only 1 bedroom with a dresser. All guests in our party stated the beds were clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were gorgeous. The views from the two levels of deck were stunning and we even got to see 2 baby bears on our last night! We would definitely stay again!

My family and I reserved this cabin for my parents 60th birthday. We were willing to spend some extra for a nice cabin for the weekend. Overall visually the cabin is nice but inconveniences were found upon arrival that you not expect to have to deal with you spend the kind of money that was spent on this property. Issues are as follows-Multiple loos facets-Mold stains on outside furniture (Both of these issues had been previously stated in reviews)-Tear in white couch on balcony-Water leaking from top floor near shower entry through floor and into the master bathroom below.During the stay the management company was responsive to the reported issues however stated that these issues are “common” and can be “reoccurring” issues. When these issues are already previously stated in reviews it should not be reoccurring.After our stay I was advised by the management team that someone from the resolutions team would be in touch regarding some sort of credit due to all the inconveniences found during our stay. It has been over half a month and have not been notified of a resolution. I can only attribute that I am being avoided by the management company in hopes that nothing will have to be done.*Special note*While descending the stairs from the 2nd floor at this property the stairs easily blend in and can be missed as we had to 2 family members fall during our stay.

Let Down

The house is nice. It’s exactly what it shows in the pictures. However, the house has multiple maintenance issues that need addressed the kitchen sink faucet was about falling out the entire weekend. Multiple sinks throughout the house with issues, but the real bummer of the whole weekend was when we got there the hot tub was green with no chlorine in it and the pool is cold. 70ish degrees. I contacted the property manager work through the hot tub being green and cloudy got it resolved. However, the pool was cold the whole weekend, which was seriously the only real reason we rented this house was so the kids could play in the pool all weekend, which obviously didn’t happen with the pool being 70.Property management was very responsive to the issues, but I still feel like we way overpaid for the weekend to have a cold pool and a green hot.

Very Disappointed!!!! FILTHY!!!!

This home needs A LOT of TLC. For the price we paid we are very disappointed and will not stay here again. Or even another Unwind property. The house is filthy. Hand and face prints on windows and doors, dust galore, rugs filthy, kitchen pots/pans old, beat up and gross. The inside and outside furniture is very dirty. We couldn’t even use the outdoor sofas because they are full of mold. The blankets are filthy too so we couldn’t even cover the furniture with blankets. The grill is also filthy and we had 3 ft high flames when we tried to grill. Couldn’t grill. The fire pit area was unusable because it is so overgrown with weeds. The jacuzzi was NOT emptied and cleaned before our arrival as advertised. It has mildew and film in it. I dont have pics of it because I didn’t want to take the top off again. The downstairs king room door doesn’t close.There is a deck board that is lifted and dangerous. I reached out to the management company on day 2. I was asked to provide pictures, which I did. Didn’t hear back from anyone.
