「The decor was unobtrusively part of the house, yet drew you in at the same time. A lot of thought went into making you feel welcome,and then immediately at home at the same time. 「We absolutely loved our stay at Bigfoot Lodging Cottage #2 It’s a very authentic cabin in the woods experience. The original vintage wood interior and squeaky wood floors added a lot to the ambiance. Plenty of outdoor space for grilling steaks or making campfire s’mores. The grounds are fun and funky with lots of interesting things to see including a pond and creek. The family that runs it is warm and accommodating with a small store that sells drinks and snacks. 「We booked this amazing place last minute when the weather at the campgrounds turned and it could not have been more perfect. Close to Lassen, plenty of space, and very dog friendly (though we didn’t have our dog). Communication was amazing; our last minute booking led to some confusion in the system but the owner, David, was super responsive and accommodating. We stayed here with our 3 teenagers and it was spacious and clean. We’d stay here again next time we visit Lassen. 」

「We visited for 4 days and stayed a 5th day so we could get another day of skiing in. We were comfortable, the place was heated, warm, cozy and away from everything which is what we wanted. There’s a store in town (Reeds) where you can grab groceries, Redding is a half hour away, Shasta 1.5 hours. Peace, quiet, Serenity, good for the kids to run around. Plenty of firewood for the old school stove. Beds cozy. Office nearby. Hottub wasn’t overchlorinated which was nice. They should make it lighter...
