“I recently stayed at Shenandoah House while visiting family nearby, and chose it because it was pet-friendly and had such excellent reviews. I’m so glad I did. From the moment we arrived, we received a genuinely warm welcome from Jim, who immediately made friends with our dog. The room was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully set up. The cooked English breakfast was honestly one of the best I’ve had, and the breakfast room itself was a great bonus, with a fridge and microwave available for……

“To be honest it was very loud from the gig place from across the road (Saturday) but it calmed down & it was quiet for the rest of the stay in spir of the house's very central location (& lots of good music in town). I had an issue with the window & appreciated that the hotel owner responded & resolved the situation.The rooms are lovingly decorated & warm, and the bed was very comfy. ”

“This Guest house is a real gem! More like a boutique hotel. Our room was spacious, warm and beautifully decorated. Excellent shower with lots of hot water and great pressure! “This is the by far the best guest house I have ever stayed in. Ian & Fiona are so welcoming and friendly. The house is in an ideal location and is peacefully quiet, also with on site parking behind an electronic gate. I will definitely stay again next time I'm in the area.”

“Super friendly staff who were easy to converse with, the inn was well maintained with vintage roots and a splash off modern. The food was excellent. On the listing it does say they have laundry facilities, but after asking it turns out they don’t. So be aware if that is a need. I would surely go back again if I am in the area!”
