You won't just stumble upon this 50m high beauty! Pull off the Palmerston highway into an unassuming looking carpark and then follow the signs. The walking track is 2.4km return and while not too difficult is uneven and along the rainforest floor. Definitely worth a little bit of a hike though! www.cheskiesgaplife.com
Just south of Cairns is this unique spot amongst ancient rainforests and raging waterways. A great spot to camp for the night. Fantastic pub grub for dinner a short walk away and then see Paranella Park in a different light (by night). There is an opportunity to see glow worms, fire flys, glow mushrooms that were the coolest form of nature. By day, it does not disapoint as you discover the same but see different sights that both nature and man has created in harmony.

Long overdue upgrades improved the place. Restaurant still a little iffy but the location is just superb. For the most part staff were lovely and helpful.

It was simple & convenient & close for our overstay needs , the owners were helpful and it was quiet and felt safe. Still would be good to have better locks on the door . I suggest a dead lock or chain lock as only had the door knob style handles.

Awesome location with all mod con’s for a relaxed stay. Just 50-100ms from the beach, 200ms from centre of Mission Beach. The centre is undertaking Reno’s to the road atm but doesn’t really affect the accomodation or facilities. We’ll be back
