“Palazzo Achates was perfect for us! It is in the center of old town on a quiet street and has been fully renovated with a beautiful modern minimalist design. I booked the last room available which, was described as small, but it was actually quite roomy and lovely. The owner answered all requests promptly and was wonderfully welcoming! He made us feel assured that the keycard entry to the hotel itself would work smoothly at any hour of the night, and it did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!”Katya

“Just had an unfortunate experience with this hotel. Upon arriving after a long flight w/ no sleep all night, we were told that they did not have a room for us that was booked & pd in Feb. We asked why not another room but we were told they were fully booked even though throughout the 4 days we were back & forth at the hotel we never saw one guest anywhere. It was so odd & like nothing we have ever experienced at a hotel before. They said we would have to stay at another hotel across town. The……Donna

“The location is excellent for its position next to the Porta Nuova, though it is on the scrappy side rather than the nice side. The rooms are simple but some have balconies. The staff is incredibly helpful and sympathetic.”Keith
