Terrific place if you want to do the Coastal walk as the bus stop is just up the road and the walk brings you back past the hotel. Evening food was a reasonable price and good quality.”

“The location was great for our purposes and the parking was good. Breakfasts were excellent, there was a nice patio and garden out the back. Well-run family B&B. The principal negatives were the noise (our suite overlooked the main road) and the very spasmodic Wi-Fi. At this price point it was disappointing.”

“Room spacious, lovely clean bathroom. Breakfast fresh to order. I have coeliac disease so they provided me with a gluten free cereal. All the staff were very helpful. We travelled by train so no need for parking but there was ample space. Few minutes walk from the seafront. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. ”

“Mixed review. The room was clean, even if a bit dated. The bathroom could have been better for the room rate. The mira shower was similar to the one I had at home more than 20 years ago. The pillows were firm and of poor quality for a room costing over £300 per night but the bed was comfy. The longe area had a fabulous sea view and was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The parking was easy. The breakfast was a bit sparce for £40 but cooked very well. We would stay again if on the area.”

Even after turning the radiator off it was still uncomfortably warm (it was early April, outside temp around 10 degrees). “When we walked in the room at 9.45pm the room was freezing cold, we found the radiators and turned the heating on but at 11pm the heating went off and didn’t come on again until the morning which meant we was cold all night. Plus there was a clear draft coming through the main front door and from the bathroom. When we looked around the room there was black mould by the front door and around the bath. “We stayed in chalet #2 Bramble. There was a bit of a wait at reception at check in. We were told we were in lodge #2. We were given three keys which was helpful. When we got to the lodge the number was not as clear as the name so it would have been helpful to have been told the name at checkin. When we opened the door we were presented with another 8, Yes 8 doors!
